The food in the restaurant is of another level. We ate there for the second time and are amazed about the ingenuity and creativity of the kitchen staff. We had the burrata and tacos as a starter. Both absolutely fantastic. As mains we took the greek feast platter and the vegan tuna pizza. The „mozzarella“ and the „tuna“ were unbelievable. We thought about checking the trash for tuna cans and mozzarella wrappings 🤣. Warning: the portion sizes are huge. Next time we will order a little less (although it‘s hard because everything tastes so great). And then we want to have desert which we weren’t able to this time 😅.

We stayed here for 3 nights which included the amazing breakfast. It's quite a spread with about a dozen different items. One of the best vegan breakfast spreads I have ever seen. Dinner each night is one dish, there is no menu. You get the dish of the day. We ate here 3 nights and everything was good. Staff are friendly and service is good. Great setting and very informal with the numerous cats coming through the outdoor dining room looking for a snack or a pet.

I know this place since 2019 and returned several times over the years.

I would recommend a rental car for your stay.
The peaceful atmosphere, the quietness, animals and the really dedicated owners + staff give you a timeless experience during your stay.

Finding out about Villa Vegana, looking at its appearance online, and reading the reviews and comments, we booked our stay with quite high expectations.

Once arrived, it immediately was clear, that it is all we hoped for. Jens welcomed us in such a lovely and heart warming way, that it only takes a sec to start to relax.
We also decided to take the full 5 day dinner experience, and each night we have been served and spoiled with delicious variations from all around the world (each night is dedicated to a certain way of a foreign cuisine).
After 6 nights, which went by within a blink of an eye, we left with some sadness, as our departure came way too quick. Anyway, we are already looking forward to our next journey to Mallorca and if you like it or not Villa Vegana: we will see each other again!
P.S.: I can’t close this post without at least dropping a line or two about the 4 - legged members of the VV- crew. It was so nice and lovely to be greeted each morning by the noice of one (or more) of the pigs, being on their mission to “cut the lawn”. Especially the newest member was quite funny, as he sometimes had his moments, and ran like crazy crisscross through the backyard, for whatever reason… very funny to watch from the pool area.
And, we have been lucky to also get a glimpse of the lovely kittens that just “arrived” some weeks ago.

My wife and I stayed there for a week and had dinner there 4 times: Italian, Vietnamese, Spanish and "Middle-Eastern" (Arabic) night.
Read moreThe food was delicious every single time, I'm quite amazed how they manage so many different styles of cuisine to this level of quality. We really appreciated the rotating menu, if you're staying there and don't feel like going out too often, you can have dinner 5 days a week and not get bored. The portions at dinner are well-sized so you can have a 3-course meal without feeling overly full at the end, which is great.
Drinks were also great: sangria, cocktails and mocktails were all tasty and well-balanced.
Breakfast is also delicious, and actually pretty big. You get a selection of sweet and savoury dishes, some of which are the same every day with a few variations (scrambled tofu, hummus, overnight oat porridge, granola, fruit salad) and some vary - some cakes, soufflés, some of them apparently making creative use of leftovers from previous dinner, delicious every time. You can ask the staff for more of this our less of that depending on your mood.
Add to this the beautiful and relaxing setting (surrounded by trees including figs and olives, nice view of the mountains, nice music selection that was never too loud), the staff who's always kind and helpful (and seem to all speak at least 3 languages : Spanish, English, German), and the reasonable prices (it's not cheap, but other restaurants of similar quality tend to be more expensive), and the 5-star rating is a no-brainer.

We spent 7 days here at the end of August and I can’t explain to you how ideal the resort is. The hotel is a converted country house with a variety of bedrooms. You definitely need to hire a car as the hotel is a little outside of the closest town, Inca. The fact that it is off of the beaten track means that it is very quiet at all times of the day. We don’t have children but the site seems very child friendly and they are well catered for.
Read moreWe stayed in a junior suite which had its own seating area and a mini fridge. The terrace led straight into the garden and pool area. The sofa pulls out into a bed so children can stay in these rooms as well.
The pool area is lovely with loungers and Bali style beds. It was very quiet when we were there and had the pool to ourselves for large parts of the day.
I can’t forget the animals! We were blessed to be there when there were 6 kittens on site. There were two adult cats, 2 dogs and 4 pigs wandering around as well.
Food! We have eaten VERY well in the week that we were here. Breakfast is included in the price of the room and includes one drink each. Breakfast consists of a smorgasbord of delights, both savoury and sweet. It’s certainly enough to keep you going until dinner. Non residents came on the Sunday for breakfast so it may be possible if you phone ahead.
Residents have an automatic reservation at the restaurant in the evening. Availability for non residents is dependent on the number of residents dining. Dinner is not available on Wednesday or Thursday.
You are treated to a 3 course meal with a different country theme in the evenings. My favourite dishes were the Vietnamese curry, paella and each of the Moroccan dishes. Wine is available by the glass and by the bottle. Highly recommend the pina colada (the best I’ve ever had!). The menu is available on their website.
Finally, but by no means least. The staff who are amazing! Everyone is so friendly and helpful. They are happy to chat even though they are clearly busy. While we were there they arranged a big celebration for one of the guest’s birthdays.
We can’t wait to visit again soon.

Read moreWe arrived at the airport just before 7pm and it took for ever to get our rental car. We were concerned that we might get to Villa Vegana too late for dinner, which normally is until 9pm. They were so accommodating after we arrived just before 9pm. Wonderful first impression and excellent dinner.
In the morning you are treated with a wonderful personal buffet plate uniquely presented. A nice variety of hearty and sweetly breakfast treats and something new mixed in very morning. We were able to enjoy breakfast and dinner mostly in the gorgeous restaurant terrace. What an amazing setting to enjoy a vegan meal!
Every evening has a different theme for dinner. We had Italien, Turkish, Hungarian, Spanish, Mexican, Swedish, all so delicious! Be prepared to enjoy every bite!
There is no dinner Wednesday and Thursday.
We enjoyed a wonderful dinner at Bellaverde in Carrer de les Monges, 14, 07470 Pollença. It’s all vegan, great service and setting. During the day we visited the historical town of Alcúdia.
For Thursday’s dinner we went to Ca n'Ela Vegan Restaurant in Palma. Neat little restaurant with delicious food!
We had room #6 which comes with a fantastic terrace overlooking the pool area. Plenty of space to hang out! There is an A/C unit in the room. We never needed to use it hence can’t say how we’ll it works. The bed can be covered with a mosquito net, which I assume will come in handy at some time of the year. We only had a few mosquitoes hence didn’t use it.
Villa Vegana is a great place to relax and enjoy!
Of course you can also join for a meal without staying at the place. Reserve in advance as the food is all prepared fresh. Check out the theme on Instagram as there isn’t menu to choose from.

The owner and staff are so friendly and the food is outstanding. We got so lucky to dine with them. Their chef was hospitalized and reservations are temporarily only available to hotel guests. The owner stepped back into the kitchen for the first time in 3 years and she knocked it out of the park. The food was divine! They change themes and country cuisine each night. Attached are photos of some Scandinavian night and then Paella night. We will enjoy Asian night tonight. This is a must visit when you are in Selva. The food is absolutely wonderful.
