One of my favorite places to be at!! The garden is superb and the atmosphere inside is so welcoming. Come if you love cats, nature, beauty and you are looking for a quiet place to rest. It has an amazing sauna with a view towards the garden and even books to read inside.
Read moreThe food is great but you must tell them beforehand to make sure they have the vegan ingredients at hand!! They can even make super delicious vegan icecream if you ask! Cakes! Cheesy pasta! They always have multiple colorful salads at hand. The food is never boring.

Wonderful place to stay & eat deliciously - Edit
Vila Castelul Maria serves many kinds of vegan home-made foods ONLY on reservation. The place is now open only with reservation for accomodation and very small events. So, if you are traveling through the region and want to sleep in a place with a wonderful garden, many cats, and delicious vegan breakfast, book it in advance and tell them you are vegan! This way you don't have to worry about having nothing to eat for breakfast or dinner as is the case in many/most Romanian hotels. Also note: because it's a small place, it won't have everything on the menu, but according to the season it will have seasonal produce - talk to the host!
