Serves meat, vegan options available. A small cafe serves made-in-house vegetarian, vegan and gluten free food. Uses local and organic ingredients. Try the sour dough vegan bread. Located inside the Prema Arts Center and formerly known as Prema Arts Cafe. Was fully veg but serves meat since June 2016. Open Tue-Fri 09:00-17:00, Sat 09:00-16:00, Sun 09:00-18:00. Open also for theatre and music performances.

Lunch

I’ve been here twice and been disappointed twice. The ambience is lovely and charming. I was led to believe they really try their best to cater for vegans - I certainly spotted things I could have which always makes me feel better.
On this visit I had their vegan hash. It was pretty nice but under-seasoned; they tried to make it stand out but unfortunately it didn’t really. The previous visit I had a falafel salad which was slightly better.
BOTH times I went (once in January and the second one in February) when I asked about their “famous” vegan cakes or brownies they told me they didn’t have any but “oh usually we’ve got some - come back and try again next time!” And actually the second visit t he woman didn’t even apologise. It made me feel they didn’t care at all. Not planning to return.

Pros: Couple of vegan options , Allegedly they have vegan cakes

Cons: Not overly friendly staff , Ambivalent attitude re vegans

Delicious food

Lovely potato hash dishes which was a bit unusual. The potatoes were beautifully cooked and tasty. Generous portion of halloumi fries with delicious flatbread and fresh salad. Sandwiches also sounded nice and a bit different. Felafel option for vegans. Attractive cafe with outdoor seating attached to an arts centre. Would give 5 stars if allowed, but they also serve meat.

Pros: Interesting veggie options , Lots of character , Friendly staff

A wonderful place

We were sooo happy when we discovered that in the little village of Uley, there is such a friendly veggie cafe. We stayed in the area for 5 days and visited the Prema Cafe 3 times -> every day since discovering it :)
The staff is super-friendly, the menu is very interesting (loads of lunch options, beautiful cakes, scones, teas, etc...) and the atmosphere.... Definitely worth a visit :)

Pros: Not expensive, Friendly staff, Vegan options
