Vegetarian und vegan options - Edit
Offers some vegetarian and vegan options. I had the falafel plate, but it wasn't good, the falafel were raw. But the cafe itself was nice, so I would give it another try.

Nice spot - Edit
Had the falafel plate, what is enough for lunch. If you love matcha, choose the iced matcha latte (soy milk available). Can be very crowded because of all the tourists. ;-)

Great food, cosy atmosphere, garden view - Edit
Went here after walking to the top of Fushimi Inari Taisha. Cute place, especially the garden. Had avocado toast, which was the perfect amount. They have vegan options but you can add eggs and bacon for example. Perfect treat after visiting Fushimi Inari!

A nice stop before going to Fushimi Inari - Edit
A bit sad that the kitchen was closed when we arrived (the kitchen closes at 2PM) but the little snacks and coffee were really good! ☺️

So handy! - Edit
Great to have vegan options right by the shrine for some sustenance before the big hike to the summit. The staff were so friendly! The vegan sandwich with the side salad was so good, and I was very happy to have found a soy latte to start the day off right 😍 good value for money, and nice atmosphere (although the chairs are a lil high for the low tables, but that’s fine)

Just what I needed - Edit
The terrace was perfect to hide from the huge crowd at Fushimi Inari and the heat. I had the falafel thing and it was great!

Amazing little cafe near the Inari Shrine - Edit
We stumbled across this little cafe on our walk down from the Inari shrine. I had the vegan granola (with Bonsoy) which was nice but the granola was pretty sugary, tasted store bought. My partner had the avocado on toast which was amazing. Great coffee available - I asked for an iced soy latte and it was excellent! Small-ish portion sizes but reasonable for the prices.

Cons: Expensive for the portion sizes

Good vegan baguette 🥖 - Edit
Few vegan sandwiches available. Had the beetroot, sweet potato and carrot baguette with vegan mayo! Good find on the way back down from the shrines!

Delight - Edit
We visited the Fushimi Inari shrine and Tori gates and to beat the crowds hadn’t had any breakfast. I read on a blog a recommendation for this cafe so set off to search for it.
Read moreIt was wonderful. The owner had lived in Melbourne for 10 years hence knew how to make coffee. I was able to have a piccolo and enjoy my first decent coffee after 3 weeks of travel.
We were also hungry so had brunch. One meal was home made falafels with baked cabbage and onion and the other was smashed avocado on toast. I forgot to mention that being vegetarian this made our day.
Even better we were able to sit outside on the deck and watch fish, turtles etc in the water.
Pros: Lots of vegetarian options, The owner speaks English, Great coffee

MUST GO! Great vegetarian options - Edit
This is a MUST GO for vegetarian options, coffee and cookies. Food was beautiful and incredibly good. Amazing service and very nice staff. After eating, we took food to go as we weren’t sure if we would come across another vegetarian place like this!

Delicious! - Edit
We had the avocado toast and the ricotta cheese and honey on toast and both were really delicious. Not the cheapest but the location is amazing and it’s a really cute, cozy place. The staff spoke English and it was a really easy place to grab some food.

We spotted this place on the way down from hiking the Fushimi-Inari shrine loop. The coffee was good, and we loved the cauliflower soup and the avocado toast. The staff spoke English and Japanese. A really great place for a light snack and a relaxing river view.
