Yummy mochi

I really enjoyed the mochi but wasn’t the biggest fan of the dango.

I removed one star because the staff wasn’t friendly and helpful, which negatively impacted my experience here. I kindly asked the lady if she could charge my phone for a couple of minutes as I ate because my battery was almost dead. She flat out said no.

Good looking & Fair priced 🍡

Lovely shop with nice interior, fast and kind service. The Mitarashi Dango was freshly reheated and served in a really nice manner.

If you generally like this dish this is a go to for you. Personally it just wasn't my taste but that certainly shouldn't influence the rating.

🍡 2x Mitarashi Dango (300¥ | 1.9$)

A Japanese spice shop that sells traditional wagashi sweets and matcha. Their mitarashi dango and warabimochi are vegan and gluten free. The mitarashi sauce contains soy sauce, which contains wheat. They have a plant-based milk option for matcha lattes.

It is located on the approach to Fushimi Inari Shrine. You can enjoy matcha, mitarashi dango, warabi mochi, etc. It is also a shop that sells Japanese pepper, a valuable herb. Herbs that freshen the tongue also help the stomach and intestines and are good for the body. When you order matcha, you can have it made at the tea ceremony. The mitarashi is baked to order, so it's soft and delicious!
