Delicious Ethiopian - Edit
A really refreshing and delightful vegetarian platter. The injera was especially delicious, and I lived the mushrooms and yellow dal on the vegetarian platter.

Savory - Edit
I was in Manassas for the Spring Art&Crafts Fair today and was looking for somewhere to eat. I looked on here for some recommendations. Very glad I did bc I found Vera’s Kitchen and it was delicious! I got this amazing Lentil Hummus for an appetizer and then the Tofu Vegetable Scramble. The food was beautiful and so savory delicious! 🥰 The restaurant was also so welcoming and I just had an all-around happy experience. Kudos to the chef, for sure! 🤩

Great people & quality food - Edit
I'd say I've been a pretty frequent customer of Vera's since they opened a couple of years ago. I've eaten all the main vegan options many times: lentil soup, the combo platter and tofu scramble. Also, the hot ginger tea with fresh ginger is great.
Read moreThey are a lovely family and Vera, a professional chef, is happy to make things off the menu since everything is freshly made to order. The last two times, I've asked for a the rainbow wrap but with the scramble instead of hummus. Also, they kindly sold me Ethiopian spices and Injera bread to make my on Ethiopian meal and gave me tips.
Recently, I've found the scramble and parts of the combo to be greasier then usual so they might have switched oils. Messed with my stomach a bit so will ask to be cooked in less oil next time I go in.
Pros: Quality food, Good to bring omni family/friends, Lovely people
Cons: Would like more options

Had the vegan entree served with injera and it exceeded expectations. Lots of food for the money and a few very quality options for vegans.

I love this place. They don’t have a lot of vegan dishes, but they make up for it in quality.

First Visit - Edit
Both my father (a non-vegan) and I ordered the Beyaynetu with Injera and we both very much enjoyed it. The vegetable combination had many great flavors and each bite was its own surprise. I will be visiting again.

Our first try at Vera’s Kitchen was for breakfast. The ful (breakfast beans) were delicious, as was the tofu scramble which would be more filling with perhaps breakfast potatoes along with it. But everything was so good and they are so new, we plan to go again and again and hope to bump them up to 5 stars. It was great to find good vegan options for breakfast, even on weekdays!

Delicious and reasonably priced Ethiopian Food - try their injera! - Edit
Lovely people own this restaurant and it was so tasty! We both got the injera plate (which you can get with quinoa or rice instead). Definitely in the “healthy comfort food” category.

delicious - Edit
I went for lunch and had the lentil soup, rainbow wrap and salad. Large wrap and delicious. The soup was great also. I ate one half of the wrap and took the other have back to work. I would love to give 5 stars, however since it's not a vegan restaurant the max I could give was 4 stars.
