Yummy cheap food - Edit
Black owned business right at the corner of Oakwood and Vaughn. Amazing fake meat sandwiches served on coco buns (not something easily found vegan!) You get a sandwich with chips or salad for $8.99 (and it's only this price because of the food hike this year.) There's no cheaper vegan food in the city!

What a cute and cozy restaurant! I got the tofu scramble toastie and my husband got the BBQ Unchicken sandwich - both were delicious and at only $6.99 each it was great value. I will be back to try out more items and also the candy store next door - OV Sweets

Awesome Vegan Gem - Edit
I just discovered this little gem and highly recommend it to others who like flavorful vegan food in a cozy and friendly setting. Both my friend and I had the jerk chicken and it was delicious. Super spicy and satisfying. I’ll be back to try other items soon!

They come with simple sides, chips or salad. But at only $7 for a main, it's a quite a steal in this town. Great staff and environment. Will definitely go back to try each item.

Vegwood - vegan offering in Oakwood neighbourhood - Edit
I was happy to spot this new place in my neighbourhood. It apparently just opened last weekend. I had the BBQ “chicken” sandwich and found it yummy. It’s a small place with a limited menu at this point, but I’m so glad it’s here. I’d suggest adding info to the menu about what the meat substitutes are made of; are they soy-based, tempeh, et cetera?
