Couldn't get enough! - Edit
I was in Saint john from Thursday to Sunday, left Sunday morning at 8am. We ate at Vegolution for lunch thursday, dinner friday, and brunch Saturday. We didn't always love everything but we ALWAYS loved something.
Read moreThe decor is cute, warm, interesting and inviting. We spent a lot of time chatting with our server, the chef, and a woman that I assume is the owner, and they were amazing. Best part is that they were able to steer us toward the best parts of saint john, not just the tourist traps. We genuinely considered going back Saturday night for dinner too but thought 4 times in 3 days might be a little weird.
The toquitos were SO good, and we tried most of the menu, but my favourite by far were the fries... fresh cut, super crispy, my favourite part of every meal. And the vegan creme brule!! So good!! First we thought the portion was really small but by the time we finished sharing, we were both satisfied and the serving size was just right.
Thanks for being such a great host to us, Vegolution - we'll make it a point to go back next time we go out east.
Pros: Welcoming and friendly staff, Interesting interior, Fresh ingredients
Cons: KFT tofu.. seasoned but we expected breaded.

The food was delicious! We shared their signature appetizer, Sticky Korean Soy Bites, and loved it. My wife had fried brussels that were cooked to perfection. I thoroughly enjoyed the Veggie Donair…so amazing! A place that’s well worth visiting!

This place was a Godsend! The food choices are amazing with some uniquely new offerings we had never tried!
Read moreThe service was perfect! The beautiful person who seated us and waited on us thoughtfully answered our questions.
Quaint ambience, very comfy, cozy and warm.
We had the Korean bits that were fantastic! Seasoned to perfection, a little crunchiness and savory sweet.
I ordered the Brussels cooked extra crispy with a tasty maple flavor. I also ordered a side of tofu cooked crunchy.
My husband ordered the Donair which looked like a wrap with fries...he loved it!
We were so excited to eat here after not so many vegan offerings on the Royal Caribbean cruise ship we were on…thank you Lord!
If you are vegan or vegetarian you will love this place!
So glad they are in business and offer nutritious food for us!
Pros: Items cooked to order, Unique vegan offerings, Kind waitstaff
Cons: Wish we had more time so we could have had dessert

Glad to have a veggie place in Saint John - Edit
We were staying at our friend’s house in Saint John for a week and were excited to try this place, since travelling the East coast in our van didn’t make for many options along the way. It didn’t seem like the most welcoming/warm place, I don’t rate the ambiance high. The food was great compared to what else is available for hours around the area for sure, but compared to all the amazing food I usually eat, it wasn’t super special. That’s honestly just because I’m from Ontario I think though, where the vegan options are plentiful. I truly think they are THE place if you’re living out this way. I just probably won’t think about Vegolution after writing this review. The cheesecake was really great though, we would be back for that. I also love crispy brussels anywhere so I enjoyed having that on the menu. They could definitely up their drink menu though, there wasn’t much selection on that front.

The interior is very well designed and cozy. Every dish we got was delicious, but there were not many gluten-free options. We went off peak hours (between lunch and dinner) and had excellent service.

Unique poutine - Edit
Had the radish roll which wasn't very good or fresh.
Read moreThe sticky soy bits were excellent.
Caesar was OK.
The poutine was really good. The cheese curds were more tofu-ey and crispy and were very good. We asked for extra gravy. The poutine is not gf but everything else I had was. I can handle a bit of gluten here and there so felt OK about the gravy.

Delicious food, so much choice! - Edit
I went yesterday with three non-vegetarians. We all loved the sticky crispy tofu bits! All our meals were excellent. I had the Vegan Mac & Cheeze, the best I’ve ever tasted. My husband was super-impressed by the mushroom burger, and our visitors enjoyed their mix of appetizers. Loved this place, with nice decor and friendly service. I wish I could go to Saint John more often.

So good! - Edit
I love finding a restaurant where i can eat literally everything on the menu. I know this place is labelled “vegetarian” but every single item is vegan but you can ADD dairy cheese to some items so *shrug* anyway everything on the menu sounded delicious it was hard to decide!

Everything I’ve had so far is sooo good. We are from out of town but always make it mandatory to eat here. (It’s also one of the few vegan options) but freaking delicious!! We just had the poutine and donair. Sooo so impressed. Lovely atmosphere and such friendly staff. Absolutely love this place.

Lovely friendly place, food a little bland - Edit
This is a lovely vegetarian restaurant in Saint John with great atmosphere and very friendly staff. We are vegan and chose from the vegan options 2 different main courses. Mine was the tofu in a curry sauce with charred seasonal veggies and my husband had the donair. Both were rather bland and not filling - mine had no rice or noodles etc.
Read moreThe desserts were both excellent (carrot and beet cake, strawberry cheesecake). All desserts are vegan.
We would return but would ask for something with more flavour.
Pros: Great atmosphere, friendly staff, vegan options, Delicious all vegan desserts
Cons: Our mains lacked flavour, Portion sizes too small, not satisfying, Expensive for the quantities served

Cute little veg place right in uptown Saint John. There isn’t much else around there so it’s great to have something that’s full veg. They offer vegan options for almost all items on their menu. Small menu but good variety. Portions are generous and ingredients seem fresh with great flavours.

Tasty burger and OK sweet potato fries - Edit
As one of the very few vegan options in Saint John, we rushed there for a quick takeaway since we were taking the ferry to Digby. There are not many options available but the burger was the obvious choice for a takeaway. It was tasty and a nice burger. We ordered some sweet potato fries on the side and these were not the best. Nevertheless, we definitely recommend it!

Amazing!!! - Edit
Finding vegan food while traveling can be challenging but finding amazing vegan food while traveling is almost impossible unless you happen to be in Saint John, New Brunswick. VEGOLUTION was a surprise find after a long day of traveling. Jaret did an exceptional job of describing the menu fare and was spot on with his recommendations! The quality of the food was definitely 5 Star, not a single disappointment!

Must go! - Edit
Completely vegetarian restaurant with many vegan options. The owners really care about the restaurant, food, and have a passion for what they do!
Read moreThe food is amazing, I have tried the donair and the mac and peas and since they are so good keep going back to the Donair!
For the quality of the food and the ingredients put into it, the prices are fair.
The desserts are also amazing! Almost as sweet as the service you receive. The kitchen is an open concept so you can see your food being prepared.
The menu changes regularly with the season, the discoveries of the chef- so there is always something new to try! With the old favorites kept on the menu ( from my experience)
I cannot say enough good things about vegolution and I am so glad to have them in Saint John!

Take out deliciousness - Edit
We wanted to stop in for my birthday as we were in town but didnt realize what a booming place it was! We couldn't find a spot for 4 people so we got taken out. It was burger week so my hubby had the "breakfast all day" burger veganized and I had the jackfruit tacos. Both were delicious! I wish the taco shells were warmed though but aside from that tiny thing it was delicious! Great flavors and the dessert (carrot cake) was super yummy!

So great - Edit
From what I could find Saint John doesn't offer a whole lot of vegan options but they do have Vegolution which is the only fully vegetarian restaurant in the city and I believe almost anything on the menu can be made vegan.
Read moreWalking in we were greeted by friendly staff and I simply love the decor and atmosphere.
The menu isn't huge which is completely okay with me, makes selecting a little easier. I ordered their vegan burger and my brother and mom got the vegan donair.
The prices are a little high but when you get your plate you are totally okay with it. The portions are huge. I was totally amazed by all the fries they give you, which btw are friggen good fresh home fries, not frozen.
The food was awesome and super filling. Both my brother and mom loved it too.
Our waitress was a total doll as well and we chatted a bit with the cook behind the counter as well, both so nice!
We got peanut butter squares to go as well, which were decadent and delicious.
If you are visiting or living in Saint John this is a must visit place!

What a find, Fantastic for Vegans - Edit
Vegolution is a vegetarian restaurant in beautiful Saint John, owned by chef owners Keith and Sarah Broome and we arrived on a lovely sunny Friday lunchtime.
Read moreThere is an extensive menu offering starters, salads, mains and desserts, with plenty vegan options so it was difficult to make a choice.
We ordered warm olives and mushrooms to share and when served, this dish certainly had eye appeal, it was Michelin star presentation. We both agreed it was one of the best starters we had eaten in a long time, perfectly seasoned and cooked, lovely textures and flavours, a spot on dish.
I chose the vegan cheese burger for mains and hubby the seared tofu and when served, again the colourful presentation grabbed your attention, you just wanted to dive in and eat.
Hubby loved the crisp tofu, accompanied with seasonal vegetables, with a myriad of flavours to tickle the taste buds, offset by mushroom veloute. My burger was nice and juicy, not soggy but plenty of bite to it, with vegan cheese and delicious crisp fries. I should have asked whether the bun was seeded, so I had to pick through the bread to avoid the poppy seeds (I'm allergic), which I managed as they were mainly on the top.
We were too full for dessert and I wish I had not eaten all the fries, but I could not resist. We had a quick chat with Keith and Sarah and were amazed to find they only opened in May this year, they are doing a grand job, apparent by the number of people dining and those coming in to wait for a table. I have been to Saint John on two previous cruises in years gone by and it was a vegan desert, so Vegolution is a vegan oasis. Highly recommended if you visit the area, you will not be disappointed.
Pros: Vegan Options, Clear labelling, Vegan dessert
