Four stars because they have vegan - Edit
Sadly and I hate to do this, but I don’t even think this restaurant is worth 4 stars. I gave 4 because I really appreciate a restaurant having any vegan food in a city that doesn’t have any. I ordered the pesto pasta, which actually was pretty tasty. I just wish they had some vegan protein offerings. Hopefully, with enough input, they will improve. The restaurant is located in a cute section of the Medina and you can sit outside and watch the world go by.

Nice spot - Edit
Not a bad place, but sadly only has a few vegan options. The burger was very mushy, but delicious. Also really enjoyed their coconut milk smoothie with coffee! Lacked some vegan protein dishes. Great service!

Ottime opzioni vegane - Edit

Not the experience I was expecting - Edit
I was really excited to try this restaurant because of all the good reviews.
Read moreUnfortunately, our experience was very disappointing. We ordered the vegan burger, clearly marked vegan on the menu, but were served regular burger buns that contained milk and egg. We didn’t realize until later, and when we mentioned it to the staff, they laughed and gave us attitude instead of apologizing.
They eventually remade the burgers using gluten-free polenta slices instead of buns, but then charged extra for it, even though it was their mistake. After eating the first burger, I had tummy cramps from the milk and egg, which was really unpleasant.
I rarely leave negative reviews, but this experience made me lose trust in their labeling and service. I hope they take this seriously and make sure their vegan dishes are truly vegan and that their staff handle such issues professionally.
Cons: Gave us milky and eggy burger buns for vegan burge

Go There! - Edit
I'm not sure if it is the second best vegetarian restaurant in the world (as described) but it is very, very good. I just had my second meal here in less than 24 hours and I'll definitely be back.

Good food but… - Edit
Small restaurant in the edge of the madina with delicious vegetarian food. They have a lunch menu until 5pm and a dinner menu from 5pm until closing. 1st night Dinner: We started with the Soup of the day which was a delicious lentil chickpea, and my husband got the lemon hummus, both came with toasted bread on the side. We ordered the Halloumi burger with and the Polenta burger both without egg, and both were served with eggs. We sat outside with 2 friendly cats. The staff was kind, spoke English and the food came out fast. Next day arrived 10 minutes before 5pm and were told we could order from either menu. I ordered the Halloumi burger again and my husband ordered the Tofu
Read moreSkewers and they said they were out of both Halloumi and out of tofu. The Soup of the day was sweet potato and zucchini so I ordered that and my husband ordered the Tabouli without egg and it was served with a hard boiled egg on top. The soup was delicious but served without the toasted bread this time.
We decided on Pizzas. I ordered the Capistrano and my husband ordered the Lechuza. We ordered both pizzas without olives and both pizzas had olives on them. Again good service and the waitress spoke English, same kitties. But when you order your food without eggs and without olives and both meals were served with eggs- two days in a row and olives it’s hard to give 5 stars. The food is delicious but still a little disappointing.
The restaurant is voted 2nd best vegetarian restaurant in the world according to Trip Advisor but we would disagree with that. It was a nice break from tajine.

We stayed in Fes for 3 nights and was so glad we found Veggie Pause. After a few weeks travelling Morocco, we were seriously craving healthy vegetarian food.

It was alright - Edit
I only had the harira soup. Taste was okay, but too light on the chickpeas and noodles for my liking. Service was on the slow side, which I found to be typical in Morocco. Small restaurant with only a few tables.

Tastiest food in Morroco - Edit
After eating vegetable tajines and vegetables cous cous for the last week and a half, Veggie Pause was a revelation. Their food is so tasty and nutritious. My wife and I had a couple of the burgers and a poke bowl each over the meals in 2 days. All of it yummy.

amazing vegan food and service :) - Edit
best vegan food we've had in morocco, exactly what we have been desperately looking and craving for (after days in the desert with only rice and bread); service was amazing as well, the women working here are very friendly and caring, will definitely come back! :)

Like a veg restaurant from the 90s - Edit
Crumbly bean burgers, hummus, smoothies, and juices... Everything was nice, but the menu could use an update, especially the vegan options. My favourite dish was the hummus plate. Everything else is yum, I just wish they had some vegan cheese, or the burger wasn't so crumbly... Or that most the vegan options didn't require removing ingredients... Very friendly staff, this place is also very popular. I'll be back for more, I just wish it had a little more going on

It was ok 👍 - Edit
It's nice to find a vegan spot in the Medina and all, but this place was definitely overpriced and like the title suggests, just ok.
Read moreWe had one of the Wakama made vegan. It was good and cost 60MAD.
We also got the Santa Monica, but unfortunately, it was a bit lacking in flavour and some of the salad had a bad taste to it. It cost 115MAD.
We got mint tea for 20MAD and it didn't taste very minty😒maybe bad leaves idk.
The staff are all super friendly and kind :D
Pros: Nice staff, Options are clear on the menu
Cons: Bit over priced , Mint tea didn't taste like mint

Great menu and good food - Edit
My husband and I ordered hot chocolates with coconut milk, a lemon and mint juice, a Giulia burger and a Champy burger. It was so nice to have a milky hot drink after a few weeks in Morocco with limited access to plant milks. The burgers were really tasty and they came with a side of potatoes and salad which were really nice. The service was really good and the waitress super friendly with good English. Highly recommend. We will be eating here again while in Fes. They also told us they have a sister restaurant called Vegetal Spot. It doesn’t come up on google maps yet but it is located outside the blue gate of Fes (Grande Porte Bab Boujeloud) on your left hand side.
