Great flavours - Edit
I like that the ‘chicken’ was made from mushrooms rather than seitan or soya, it felt slightly healthier. The chicken and waffles dish was good - flavours were great. I also had a creole hot chocolate which was delicious.

Unusual choices, great flavours - Edit
There are several vegan and vegan friendly options in Nijmegen but this one had a lot of different flavours which swung it for a late lunch. I chose the BBQ tempeh sandwich on a Caribbean corn bread and it was delicious. Friendly staff and a great central location.

Good vegan menu options Surinam/Caribean Creole style - Edit
One of the better places for lunch and dinner for vegans. Very original items on the menu. Opening hours can be different depending on staffing but fortunately I could order something and eat while they wanted to close at 3:30-4 pm. Good seats indoor and outdoor close to the Valkhof.

The café is really spacious and beautifully decorated with lots of colorful designs but in a subtle way. There's also outdoor seating.

They have an extensive menu of different vegan dishes with plenty of gluten-free options as well. The food is good, and I love that the breads seem to all be made in-house as well and are very different from what you normally find in the Netherlands.

The food here is really delicious and well prepared, I am never disappointed! My only complaint is that it takes very long (1 and a half hours) to get all the food I ordered (I only ordered vegan chicken wings and their special sandwich of the day). I do hope this problem improves soon. All in all I would return for more comfort food!

Veggie Galore is a popular vegan place in Nijmegen for a very good reason. The menu offers dishes you can't get anywhere else in town, and they're so, so tasty. You can dine in or get takeaway, but whatever you choose you're in for a treat!

Veggie Galore is a vegan lunch room. The menu changes every two weeks, but what I really like is that it is something completely different. Creool - Indian cuisine. I had the gluten-free bread with bbq tempeh as a take away and some brownies. Spices are very good, bit fusion like. It does remind you of exotic places and good holidays.

Vegan gem in Nijmegen - Edit
Went in for a sweet snack and did not disappoint. We had the vegan cheesecake and custard pie which were very tasty. The Surinam shuru was a pure delight. Looking forward to come back for diner once we're in Nijmegen again, because the menu looks great.

We ordered the Nachos extrema (13,50€) BBQ Tempeh Sandwich (8,75€) and chickn' waffles (9,50€). Fairly priced, although strange that the nachos cost so much more in comparison to the other dishes.
I had the chickn waffles and really enjoyed this dish. Nice variation.
The nachos dish was very VERY HOT (be warned!).
We also had some dessert: the naranja creola (a sort of muffin with some cream and berries on top) (4,50€) and a brownie (4,75€). Desserts were nice, although pricy.
Loved the food, friendly service.
Bright space, a bit loud music in the beginning, although they did turn it down a bit when we asked (thanks😉
Would definitely visit again.
Restaurant & terrace on ground floor. Some tables on higher level. One toilet, did not see an accessible toilet.

Been there about ten times now for dinner take away and lunch in the restaurant. The food is a lot different from other places where you can eat vegan. I like that it's not standard food and the slutty brownie is the best you'll ever taste!
