This is also one of the traditional Taiwanese dishes

VEGE Vermicelli 文大叔蔬食麵線 全素與蛋奶素 is their name, this is one of the most traditional Taiwanese style dish, they usually use the wheat noodles and when elderly get to age 80, which means longevity, they will celebrate and eating this type of noodles to celebrate, the most original this type of style of noodle is actually vegan but later on people start adding pig intestine or oranges inside and make it like a street food; this is vegetarian restaurant so of course you don’t have to worry about animal organs appear inside your meal, but they do serve eggs and dairy, just make sure you ask before you order then there’s no problem😄I actually know how to make this dish, simple is the best😄usually just the noodle with fresh cilantro on top then it’s a great dish😄we call it old school way, but of course nowadays you can add a lot vegetables in it it’s a lot more healthy this way😄

Good food!

Good food, very friendly owner, fast service and very cheap (my large vermicelli bowl with vegetables and meat substitute was only $85! The owner told me in advance everything is vegetarian and he also asked me if I eat eggs so he clearly knows what vegan is.

Simple and delicious!!

I ate at this establishment 3x during my visit in Taipei. He offers 4 to 5 vegetarian vermicelli soup options and they're all delicious! Note that he has a small or large size as well as spicy vs non spicy. I got the small size each time and it was a generous portion. after having tried the spicy and non spicy version, I can say that the spicy version has a richer and better flavor. It's not too spicy either.

I really recommend this place to any vegetarians or vegans in the area! It's great with its proximity to the night market as you can eat and then go enjoy the many drinks and desserts the night market offers. The owner speaks excellent English and is kind and friendly as well. I absolutely will return to this place when I can.

Things to know: offer takeout or eat-in. There are 2 to 3 small tables on the sidewalk. Many side dishes are available (didn't try), but make sure to confirm vegan before eating as they may have egg.
