Please be aware that this restaurant is as good as gold, it’s named Veganos Fusion now. We just had the best lunch available in Cali so far!

Some of the vegan food in Cali - Edit
Probably overlooked by most tourists as it's quite far from the centre of Cali but definitely worth a trip down if you're staying a while-feels more authentic than some of the more tourist focused places around San Antonio.
Read moreDaily set lunch is great value- a soup, salad, main (usually two choices of mock meat, rice, and a choice of other carb-normally potato or patacon (plantain fritter) and a small fruit compote for desert, which I was often too full to finish). All for about 10,000 pesos. Bear in mind some combinations can make the plate quite dry so save some of the salad they give you to eat with main. Had my first ever vegan tuna here which absolutely blew my mind- genuinely better than the real thing. Also sometimes have vegan burgers in evening which are incredible. Friendly and efficient service too.
The main downside is the opening times are absolutely bizzare; I stayed in Cali about 6 weeks and couldn't figure them out. Definitely closed on Saturday and open on Sunday. If you do make the trip down and it's closed and you're starving, there's a Venezuelan place two doors down which do veggie arepas and empanadas which are OK or on Friday and Saturday evenings there's a Mexican food truck in the park in the middle of la hacienda run by a lovely couple who are happy to veganise anything on the menu, burritos, tacos, nachos etc.
Pros: Cheap, filling, authentic colombian food. , Good servide
Cons: Weird opening hours, Slightly far from centre of town, Some of the mock meats are a bit hit and miss (alt

A lovely Vegan restaurant - Edit
It's thanks to Happy Cow I found this lovely little place which serves a simple vegan menu for 9000COP (around 3 Euros) weekdays and 11.000 COP on Sundays. They have a pleasant patio garden at the back. The menu is typical for Cali: a large juice; a small salad; a soup; a main dish of rice with vegs and a veg protein; a small dessert of fruit compote.
Read moreThe ambiance is very friendly. However, the menu (as indeed in most veg.restaurants in Cali I've been to) lacks variety: they all serve rice as a main course and a small compote as a dessert and soup as a starter. This is because that's what the locals want: I was told by a Columbian friend that a meal without rice isn't a meal here.
