Lovely cafe, food and staff - Edit
I had the chickn milanese burger with garlic fries and it was so good!! I also had a bite of the doner kebab which tasted amazing. The staff are lovely too and their profits go towards their own animal sanctuary. We had to wait to be seated and use hand sanitiser on arrival so it all felt very safe and spacious while we were there.

After reading a few reviews on here I decided to head to Vegano. I was thankful for the comment that said about google directions taking you to the street behind the restaurant.
Read moreOnce in there the food was delicious. Lots of options and attractively presented. The mezze was delightful, the nan sumptuous and the loaded chips, generous and tasty.
Oh, and the chocolate torte was to die for.
A tastefully curated soundtrack and really friendly owners completed the package.
10/10 would recommend and will definitely visit again next time I'm in Geordie-land.

Contemporary Vegan café/restaurant on St James' Boulevard - Edit
What a great place to find and so near the Central Station. I decided to have lunch here and loved the decor and the friendly welcome. The kebab looked the most tempting and I was not disappointed. It came with a flatbread, chimichurri dressing and fries. All freshly made and the portions were truly generous. The next day I came back for the breakfast muffin. The coffee is really good quality too. All the main meals are under £10. Such a lovely warm and relaxed atmosphere. Next time I'm in Newcastle I will definitely try some of their desserts!

Just FYI google maps takes you to the back parking lot, don’t get discouraged, the place is facing the main road. The owners are friendly and mission driven. The food was great. I enjoyed every bite.

I ordered the Kebab which is very authentic and the best tasting Kebab I've tried to date.
My wife got the chilli dog which was also a delicious treat.
Good range of drinks on offer and again the size of the drinks for the price is great.
Pros: Lots of vegan Options, Kebab is most authentic and best tasting to date. , Drink size is huge and taste amazing.
Cons: Not much beer choice, Would be nice if open late as a bar

I came across vegano at the quayside market in newcastle on sunday. I ordered at "burger" with the works. It was absolutley amazing. It was the nicest things I've had in ages. Will definitely be trying the cafe and may need to revisit the market to feed my new adiction :)

A wonderful place to go for a light bite, evening meal and everything in between. It is situated perfectly close to town where it’s easily accessible yet not in with all the hussle and bustle which really adds to the experience. The interior is decorated beautifully and the staff are always very attentive and welcoming. Walking in is like walking into a family home, so warm wnd inviting. As for the food, the portions are very generous and the taste and presentation are second to none, hands down my favourite vegan place I’ve visited. The price is also very cheap, I couldn’t believe the price of some of items for the amount of food you get! It’s a place I would feel comfortable bringing non/vegan or vegetarian family members and friends as the food is that beautifully made. The staff are incredible, it really adds an element of care into the experience as you can tell the amount of love and joy that comes into the food and the service they provide.

Vegano is a little expensive for a work day lunch for me, but if you’re in need of a treat or just a big pile of carbs it’s ace. Haven’t been in the evening but think the portions are designed for dinner not lunch! The do really good coffee and hot chocolate, and the doughnuts are some of the best I’ve eaten- vegan or not.

Visited this place yesterday with my non vegan friend. We both had different burgers and they were INCREDIBLE! The flavour was spot on and the portion sizes were big! The place had such a nice vibe to it and the waitress that served us was really attentive and friendly. I cannot wait bring more of my friends here (preferably non vegan) just so they can see how good vegan food can actually taste. The prices are really reasonable and I even brought a Bakewell tart home which tasted incredible. So glad I found this little gem!

Party of 10 hungry Vegans. Service was prompt and we were really welcomed as a group. Lots of food choices, as we arrived pre evening we had options to chose from daytime and evening menus, which was very accomodating. Quality and flavour of food was good
