My go to in OC - Edit
I have been here a handful of times and have had everything on the menu at least once. The fish tacos, at least three times. Everything on the menu is delicious, authentic Baja style Mexican food. The salsa taquera is the best I’ve ever had in my life. All of the staff are super cool and friendly, and there is always great music going on the big TV. Worth a drive to OC for just the food, and if you’re in OC do not miss out. This is the one you want to try.

Best burrito - Edit
Get the veganixima asada burrito with avocado and I promise you won’t regret it! The flavors are amazing and it’s unlike any other vegan burrito that I’ve had. Side note: I recommend getting the mild salsa because it was still a bit spicy (but delicious of course)

Sooo Delicious and super friendly owners/staff. - Edit
We were in So Cal for a Disneyland trip and found this amazing vegan, Mexican food place here on HappyCow. All three of us ordered tacos of one variety or another. I asked if the Shrimp tacos were fried and was told that there were but did not have to be. My non-fired shrimp tacos were REALLY delicious! My husband loved all three of his tacos that had different vegan meats and our daughter loved her fried-shrimp tacos. The owner (I think) brought chips and two different salsas to our table while we waited for our food. The chips were nice and warm and the two different salsas were obviously house made and very good. We ordered guacamole to go with our taco plates and it was really yummy too. The owner gave me a sample of one of the kombucha that are on tap and it too was delicious.

Pretty good! (4.5) - Edit
We went here on a Friday for dinner and were the only ones there the whole time except for one person who came in to pick up their phone order. We got the taco trio and the burrito with asada. Both were pretty good! Not incredible, but good. I liked having the variety in the mock meats for the taco trio, but I personally wasn’t super big on the textures. We asked and FYI all their mock meats are soy and wheat based. The burrito was good too, with its main flaw being the lettuce, which adds nothing to a burrito IMO. Replace the lettuce with more of the other fillings (or just leave it out) and it would be great. We had a really pleasant experience with the guy working the cash register who was extremely friendly, helpful with making recommendations, and even gave us an extra horchata when we ordered one because they needed to get rid of it before they closed. The only other thing I wasn’t a fan of were the salsas, which were decent flavor-wise but had a super thick texture I’m not used to.

Pretty good - Edit
Needed a place to get Mexican food for Cinco de Mayo & this place was a hit! It was our first time & we got the royal treatment: horchata on the house & samples of tamales! Only cuz they were slammed with pick up orders on top of the restaurant at half capacity. Plus, we ordered a ton of food. The only thing we disliked was the piña colada cheesecake (5 thumbs down, sorry) but the staff was incredibly sweet!

Absolutely amazing - Edit
We were first given a very warm welcome from the gentleman behind the counter (can’t remember his name but hair was tied up and he had a cross under his eye) and the service was absolutely great. I got the asada tacos and my wife got the shrimp tacos and both were absolutely amazing. We will definitely be making our way back to Veganixima soon, thank you!!!

So disappointed - Edit
So ridiculously overpriced!! $17 not including cheese or avo for 3 tacos just made from Gardein meat. No creativity what so ever. Everything is Gardein of the meat is so cheap why are you charging $20

New taqueria near home! - Edit
This new restaurant has vegan shrimp and fish tacos. Yay!!!! It is closer to home than other vegan taqueria in OC. So I am welcoming it and supporting it. I am happy that this restaurant opens. I am also happy that vegan business owners are now working together and supporting each other in social media. In the previous generation vegan businesses are bad mouthing each other(their customers too). In this generation, they are united and working together. I see success! :-)
Read moreMy favorite are the 'seafood' tacos and the cauliflower tostada. Their green guacamole sauce is yummy. The red sauce is yummy too.
I also like the asada taco filling but the chicken not so much on tacos. Maybe it is better in a burrito.
The burrito is huge. There are black beans and rice in it with veggies. Pretty tasty.
But I know I will keep coming back for the 'seafood' tacos.
They have kombucha and tasty desserts too..
The place is not big but there are 2 outside seatings. The service was warm and friendly.
Pros: Close to home, Yummy food, Friendly service
Cons: Restaurant is small
