Amazing course meal - Worth the price

Love this place! I would put 5 stars (or more!) if possible We had the amazing course meal that was really healthy and tasty. You might feel that this place is a bit pricy, but I thought it was totally worth it – They use lots of medicinal ingredients which can be pretty expensive. Definitely coming back!

Ummm

I ordered from here using UberEats. My choices were limited I only had about five dishes to choose from. I was looking for a dish that was more vegetable based but all the dishes had mock meat. I decided to go with the #1 choice on the app. I ordered the vermicelli noodles. They were extremely salty. I did not want to finish my dish but I made myself since I was hungry and had no other choice. I ordered the vegetable buns on the side. They were rated 100% out of 30 reviews. Seemed like they’d be a win. Nope. They had ZERO flavor. I ordered two beverages. A purple sweet potato soy drink with whipped cream and a chai soy with whipped cream. Both beverages had zero sugar and no flavor. Both tasted of lightly flavored water. Buuuut the whipped cream was amazing!!! Tasted homemade. I would come back just to order a jar of the whipped cream.

Exceptional vegan Chinese food

Amazing food, super fresh, beautifully served and great atmosphere and service. Had brown rice, water spinach, eggplant, spring rolls, bao, gyoza and sesame balls and everything was exceptionally prepared. Some of the best vegan Chinese food I’ve had outside China.
I went back a second time for diner and had mapo tofu and cranberry juice and tea as well as first time favorites and the food was prepared equally well.

Food was just okay but it was definitely overpriced.

Everything had a price tag to it. Couldn't even just get water and had to purchase the bottled water. Togo boxes were also 100 yen per container🤦🤦

I always thought a vegan place would be more... ... but felt the place was a little money hungry.

Maybe it's just not my cup of tea.

100% oriental veg (alliums free)

Green curry tofu (non spicy ver.) was awesome. We loved their fried rice most! Be prepared for a slightly pricey meal.

Excellent!!

Best vegan Chinese food in town!
The hot pot was so good! 😋
Wish more vegan places would offer these kinds of healthy warming hot pots at least during the winter.
A bit pricey but so worth it!
The menu is so versatile it was difficult to choose. All dishes are vegan. For fried rice there is the option to add egg. Friendly staff and nice quite atmosphere. Apparently the owner is the same as sairaien in Ueno.

Great Chinese lunch

The portion was well enough for me to be happily full. All the dishes in a set (including dessert) was great. On top of that the staff was so helpful. I’ll visit if I came around the place. #Veganuary

Flavoursome and clean goodness

I so loved the green mapo tofu lunch set . It was very tasty with full of flavour, and so filling and I feel so light and clean after eating😄can’t wait trying some other dish.
Very lovely staff and nice atmosphere too.

I rarely feel so clean and healthy eating out at a restaurant so it was very delightful surprise.

Thank you!

Great food

Very tasty vegan eatery. Staff was very friendly and helpful. Food was beautifully presented. The eggplant dish wasn’t as flavorful as I’d hoped but still overall very fulfilling. The vegan salmon was pure black magic 🪄

Oriental vegan dishes available

New Chinese vegan/vegetarian restaurant in the Kotto Dori Street
They currently offer 4 set menus for lunch (salad, soup, main dish, rice and desert) ranging from 1500 yen to 2000 yen.
Green Mabo (Mapo) Tofu is oriental vegan, Zeromeat Hamburger Steak is vegan, but Subuta (sweet and sour pork) and Qing Jiao Rou Si are vegetarian with eggs, as it says "VEGGIE" on the menu.
The jade-like beautiful colour of Mabo Tofu is 100% natural from green vegetables. They use a lot of green sansho pepper, so it is very hot, but refreshing at the same time. You can ask them to make it less spicy for you.
8-course dinner is for 5000 yen and 10-course for 7500 yen.
They don't offer alcohol, but have a variety of tea, juice and non-alcoholic beer/wine.
Many takeaways are also available (lunch boxes, sweets and tapioca drinks).
