🤩 Vegan Sushi in Amsterdam - Edit
One sushi sage and one sushi newbie! This is also a great spot to dine alone.
Read moreThis was so fun. We ordered a few rolls, the gyoza, and one chik’n bao bun and one tofu bao bun. When bao is on the menu, we always order! This bao was so good - particularly the vegan chik’n one. Definitely would get that again in the future. For rolls, we ordered a “shrimp” tempura and California crispy roll. California crispy took the prize!!! 🏆
Pros: California crispy roll, Chik’n bao bun, So many options!!!!!
Cons: A bit expensive

Not as good as Arnheim - Edit
After being to their other restaurant in Arnheim multiple times, we wanted to try it in Amsterdam as well. But sadly, we were disappointed by the gyoza and sushi. It was still good, but did not reach the same level as in Arnheim.

I had a great time, my wallet didn’t - Edit
This was my second Vegan Sushi Bar visit and it did not disappoint me one bit. The quality of their sushi is always on-point. Though the miso soup could’ve been a tad stronger, it left me very satisfied. I will probably always find the pricepoint to be an issue though. It is very unlikely that many people will be full after just one roll for dinner, but said rolls start at around €15. With just 1 side to complete your meal you’ll pay at least €21 p.p. excluding drinks. I’m not saying the flavours aren’t incredible, but for such a casual dinner experience with a QR-offering system it is quite high.

Pros: Real wasabi, Fast service, Innovative and will fool your non-vegan friends.
Cons: Interior is just okay, QR-ordering (even when you’re the only table), Priceyyyy

Creative sushi - Edit
Very creative rolls with creative sauces. The fried oyster mushrooms are very good too. Miso ramen came in a thick and tasteful broth. A bit pricey, but worth it.

Heerlijke originele sushi! - Edit
Eten was echt 5 sterren waard! Heerlijke sushi en heerlijke combinaties. Wel prijzig. Geen 5 sterren omdat je via een QR code moet bestellen, dit haalt wat van de sfeer weg.

Simply AMAZING - Edit
I had such an amazing experience here. I ordered the menu and I could choose 1 entrance main plate dessert drink and it was about 29€, what I think is doable for special occasions or if you are really craving sushi, but I must say it is completely worth the price because everything was SO GOOD!
Read moreThe atmosphere was super chill and warm, and the California Crispy Roll is simply amazing! So crunchy and the spiciness is perfect! The miso soup was a big hug on a rainy day, and to top off, the Passion fruit with Mango mochi is divine!
I had a calm lunch and took some time there just appreciating the cozy atmosphere and good food. I recommend it and wish it keep that way!

Incredibile! Purtroppo caro - Edit
Il sushi vegano è fantastico. L'ambiente molto semplice, essenziale. Purtroppo considerando che si tratta di un locale molto "basic" l'ho trovato caro.

The best - Edit
Vegan sushi is hard to find. There’s little competition either, and it seems as if there’s none at all in Amsterdam. Which makes this place surprising, they have no reason to put in that much effort, yet they do.

They made me love sushi again! - Edit
I’ve never been a huge sushi fan even before I went vegan, had tried other vegan sushi places before but was never impressed. We shared rolls with a friend and both the salmon and the miso tofu were delicious! You order via a QR code which is super practical. Would definitely recommend it

Amazing Spot - Edit
I’ve just discovered the most incredible vegan sushi spot, and I’m absolutely blown away! From the moment I walked in, the atmosphere was warm and inviting, setting the stage for an unforgettable dining experience. The creativity behind the menu is remarkable — each dish is a work of art, combining fresh, vibrant ingredients in ways I never imagined possible for sushi.
Read moreThe sushi rolls are bursting with flavors that perfectly balance savory, sweet, and umami. The chefs have skillfully replaced fish with plant-based alternatives that taste so fresh and authentic, you won’t even miss the seafood. The textures are spot on — crispy, creamy, and melt-in-your-mouth all at once!
I must give a special mention to their signature rolls, which are a true explosion of flavors. Whether you’re a sushi lover or simply curious about vegan cuisine, this place will surprise and delight you. And let’s not forget about the presentation — each plate is beautifully crafted, making every bite a feast for the eyes as much as for the palate.
If you’re passionate about great food, sustainability, and plant-based eating, this vegan sushi restaurant is a must-visit. I’ll definitely be coming back for more!
How does that sound for your experience?
Pros: Great Food, Kindliness , Tasty

everything's perfect but BEWARE THE CUCUMBER! - Edit
this is a great sushi place and, as you can imagine from the name, everything's vegan
Read morethey have lots of interesting non-fish options, lemonades, desserts and definitely know how to cook a mushroom!
when we visited the place had special offer where you can have combo of a sushi plate side dish drink dessert so we had two combos and stayed very happy with it
i had a small near-death experience that i'll tell about because it might save the day for someone as dumb as me 😅
so our sushi were served on a long piece of wood accompanied by pickled ginger and a big piece of cucumber with some pieces of green onion and a green sauce (?) on it. i am sure the waitress said something about the cucumber but we just didn't pay attention, and that was a big mistake 🙈🙈
because after i ate my part of sushi i thought it would be a great idea to finish my lunch with a piece of refreshing cucumber that just lies there anyway...
as you probably understand, the cucumber wasn't just a regular cucumber but a way to serve wasabi... as i understood they just take the middle part of the piece and put wasabi-infused sauce there. i had no idea and i just carelessly put that wasabi bomb into my mouth and started chewing 😭😭😭
and as if it wasn't enough, my brain kinda stopped working at that moment and the only thought i remember very clearly was "omg i'm just gonna die here because of this cucumber because i cannot spit it out because everything on the table is so nice and how can i spit onto it" 🙈🙈🙈
my husband saved me by providing a napkin!
so my point is, be careful with cucumbers and always pay attention to what the waiter tells you! might save your life haha 🙌
Pros: great choice of sushi and side dishes
Cons: BEWARE OF THE CUCUMBER!

So good - Edit
We had an incredible meal at Vegan Sushi Bar. We were particularly obsessed with the crunchy oyster mushrooms. The sushi was really tasty, we loved the shrimpless and the flambe salmon. Everything was super fresh. Staff were good and very attentive. The place is small so would recommend booking.

As a vegan of 8 years, my favourite thing is eating creative vegan versions of non vegan foods. Vegan Sushi Bar has a delicious, creative menu using vegan "fish" that even non vegans would enjoy.

Somewhat disappointed - Edit
Very nice concept but I was a bit disappointed by the somewhat lack of taste of the sushi I ordered. I felt like the main ingredients (fish substitutes) didn't really add anything to the dish. Anyway the takoyaki and the Bao buns were amazing!

Nice, but used to be better - Edit
This is a small restaurant, but the food is quite good (although it used to be better). They now have a combo menu that save you some money (if you like their homemade drinks).
Read moreI like several sushi rolls (like the ones with flambé salmon, ebi and chicken teriyaki), but also the crispy oyster wings, gyozas and sweet potato tempura. Their carrot cake, ice-cream (Montgomery) and matcha tiramisu are good as well. Some nice drinks are plum wine and yuzu and genmai sake.
What I liked less was the takoyaki, because it’s mainly salty. Also, the 2 ice-teas we tried tasted a bit watery.
