Excellent vegan soup

Seems to be very popular, we did not get a table in the evening. Therefore, I recommend to make a reservation. We tried the pumpkin soup and borscht. Both were very well flavored. The bread was extremely good. Lunch of the other guests looked also super delicious and was nicely decorated. Very cozy atmosphere inside and nice location in the oldtown.

Amazing creative vegan food

It's always full so it's better to book in advance.
The place is nice, and the food very interesting for a vegan restaurant. It's creative and tasty.
The price are more expensive than average but still honest for the quality.

Pros: Creative and tasty food, Pleasant place

Cons: A bit expensive

Second time here

This was our second time in Tallinn and in Restoran V. The place was actually one of the main reasons for our trip.
Restoran V doesn't disappoint, if you manage to book a table well in advance.
I still think this is one of the best all vegan restaurants I've ever been to. The flavours are very sophisticated and you can really tell that the chef has put a lot of thought in the dishes.
A definite recommendation!

Pros: exquisite flavours, good variety of dishes, location

Cons: hard to get a table

Can't say much about the food but.......

We never got to eat here as it was totally booked up for the whole time that we were there, in the middle of a cold winter. I'd hate to see how crowded it gets in the busy time. So I am assuming that this is perhaps a sign of how good it is, although most people seemed to be foreigners, not locals, so maybe not. I would most definitely advise to book up well in advance (Perhaps send them an email?!) if you want to try it out. But be prepared, it's expensive. So needless to say, I cannot comment on the food.....but I can comment on what experience I did have.

It is definitely one of the most central restaurants in Tallinn, let alone the most central vegan restaurant. It is only a stone's throw from the central town square.

We went in to check it out and ask about getting a table. The waiter was a bit abrupt with us when we didn't have a reservation. He also informed us that they were totally booked up until after we were gone. Although the place looks good, it did look a bit on the posh side. Maybe our 'mountain-men look' wasn't quite up to their standards. As two other more sophisticated vegans that we had met later on told us, it was 'a bit pretentious' and 'looks better than it is'. However they did say the food was quite nice but also quite expensive.

So, from our experience, it's very central, looks nice, opens late, staff is a bit abrupt, looks quite posh, told it's pretentious and a bit expensive.

Pros: Very central, Opens late

Cons: Booked up all the time, A bit pricey

Great restaurant

Tucked away in the new town, this restaurant’s ambience matches the location; small and elegant. I ate here alone comfortably, but it is a perfect venue for a slow meal with a partner or friends. The food was inquisitive without loosing its focus on flavour and texture. Well balanced mixtures of colour and textures, I simply cannot fault any of the meal. The wine matched the food in quality, and the service was relaxing discrete. The news about this place has spread:: there were a few couples with no reservations unfortunately turned away, and this on a cold and damp Tuesday evening. Go along and enjoy, but only when you have the time to appreciate it.

Pros: Well balanced, interesting food, Ambience and venue, Service

Interesting

Good value for interesting dishes. We had tried to get into dinner twice bit it was fully booked. When we made it for lunch we found the descriptions of the meals did not quite translate to what was served. Beetroot ravioli with Cashew nut cheese, was beetroot thinly sliced and served with the cashew nut cheese between the slices. It was a satisfying entree but not at all what I expected.

Perfect

Visited twice once in summer and once in winter, both times were amazing. Definitely recommend the beet seitan, it was one of the best vegan dishes I have tasted. Deserts are also very good. If you ever come across to tiramisu cake, just order it, it was one of the best cakes. Staff is also lovely and friendly.

Pros: Taste, Location, Staff

Cons: Hard to find a place on weekends even with booking

Great value for your money

Very nice food, great location. I tried "fish" burger and it came with oven baked sweet potato chips and cheese sauce (I asked later waitress what it is made of - oat cream). My boyfriend tried saitan tacos served with guacamole. Both meals were amazing and portions were huge. Even though my boyfriend is not vegan, but he loved his meal - as he said it was not too spicy and flavourful. For a drink we took latvian dark lager, which also was really nice and perfectly complimented with our food.

amazing vegan place

I had the fish burger, and it wasnt the best burger I've had just because I don't Love dill and that fishy taste that dill gives food. I thought it would be more of a "fish n chips" burger with a fried patty but It was more of a veggie party with alot of flavours and sweet potato fries. It was good though! My mom had the zuchinni noodles with pesto and they were soooo delicious, and my dad and brother had the vegan tacos. THEY WERE AMAZING. Tasted just like regular beef & cheese filled tacos with amazing guac! For dessert we had matcha latte and oreo cheesecake. That was the best cheesecake Ive ever had! Super flavourful and perfect! You have to Go there if you're in Tallinn!

Pros: cozy atmosphere , amazing quality food, really nice workers

Cons: not a huge menu

The restaurant in the Baltics.

In our entire Baltic stay, this restaurant was the best. Everything we had was excellent, it is also pretty cheap.
Nothing bad to say about this place.

Great experience

The food we got was very delicious and really nicely arranged on the plates. Especially the vegan "salmon" was exquisit.

The waitress was also very helpful and kind. She also spoke very good English.

Moreover, the food was not that expensive.

I would really like to go back there. I can really really recommend it.

It's no gourmet kitchen, but it's really really good. And for that quality it's actually quite inexpensive.
Apparently V is so popular that you should not turn up without a reservation!

Mostly good

We came here for a late lunch while in town for the day from Helsinki. It was like 3 pm and the place was still packed, on a Monday no less. Food was pretty good but there was this one girl on staff that had a little bit of an attitude. Also, our waiter got our order wrong and gave us a different main dish. We didn't have time to correct it because we had a ferry to catch. Another thing that took away from our experience was the fact that some guy was giving a sermon on veganism from the basement of the restaurant and we happened to sit right next to the open basement windows. We had to listen to every single word of it for the better part of our meal.

Even then, it was a decent meal. We liked what we got and the location in the middle of Tallinn's beautiful old town just can't be beat. Prices were reasonable as well. This is more a 3.5 for me rounded up to a 4.

Pros: location, reasonably priced

Cons: staff

One of the best meals we've ever had

Our whole group was very happy with the delicious things we ate: the starters (tomato soup and caesars salad), main course (tacos) and desert (raspberry cheesecake and cupcakes) were unbelievably good, very nicely arranged and the service was perfect. All this at a good price, we'll definitely come back.

Try and reserve a table per email, the place does not offer many tables.

Pros: delicious , good range of different options , nice ambience

My go-to vegan restaurant

This place is so good and people know that. That's why it would be quite smart to book a table in advance. I have been there many times and it's hard to see the people coming in and finding out that it's almost or completely full. Some lucky ones sometimes get the table since they might have a few spots just for the lucky ones but it's better to book the table. You might think that if you need to book a table, that it's probably too posh and expensive but it's not. It's just great in so many ways and that's it :-)

If I am unable to book the table I will

Pros: Amazing food, Great location, Nice interior

Cons: Might not get the table without booking
