I can see why this place is top rated!. I had the Mexi Burger, which was next level delicious and a green smoothie. I thought the decor was very pleasant and fresh, and there was a great selection to choose from on the menu.

The best vegan street food in Budapest - Edit
I visited Vegan Love with a non-vegan friend. There are plenty of yummy options on the menu. We tried the Philly Steak Sandwich and Mac & Cheese. Everything was delicious and the portions were huge! The home made lemonades were also tasty and refreshing. The place is small, but comfortable. Before I left Budapest I returned to buy a Chicken BBQ Burger. Wow, it was heavenly! My non-vegan friend went back with her meat eater family to show them that vegans don't eat only lettuce and soy😄

Little pricey, about $13 for burger, fries and lemonade. But it tastes great. Could of done without the lemonade however to save money. Highly recommended the sweet potato fries.

This one is a little too expensive for what it serve in my opinion but it's close the famous baths, really convenient. It's clean and the burgers taste good.

Amazing Food - Edit
Myself and my partner ate here and enjoyed everything we tried. The gyro and the Mexican dog were both really good (and really messy) and filling, the portions are very generous. The only downside for us was that the mac ‘n’ cheese was cold. Highly recommend.

We’ve been enjoying the “treasure hunt” of finding vegan restaurants while traveling. This spot is a good, casual option for vegan burgers and hotdogs. They also have a small salad bar. Heavy on the tofu and fat, but very tasty.

I stumbled across Vegan Love instagram page before coming to Budapest so I knew I had to try it when we were done touring the Citadella. Honestly the food was so good and large portions! Incredible tastes, just filled us right up. My husband had the big kahuna which I can’t even comprehend how he finished it. We even had the lemonades, they were soo good!

We were just visiting Budapest and tried this spot before the Bathe...omg! The food was outstanding! I also got a side of mac n cheese and wow!!!! I've never been a huge fan but I like trying it everywhere to see if it's legit. This was the absolute best mac n cheese I've ever had! Vegan or not! I still crave it even though it's been 3 months. Mmmm!

Amazing food - Edit
I spent a weekend in Budapest and sadly this was the last vegan place I tried. If it had been the first it would have been the only one as I wanted to try everything on the menu! What I did have (juicy Lucy burger) was amazing. The sauce was delicious. Only wish I’d had room to try something else as well.

Juicy burgers, tasty french fries, small, crowded restaurant - Edit
We've been to this restaurant countless times since it opened, and have tried most of the burgers available. So far I liked everything – on less adventurous days I order the sweet potato burger (my favourite!), but the broccoli millet burger I had last time also did not disappoint😄What I personally like the most in these burgers is that they are very, very juicy. We usually order sweet potato fries too, which are also very good (and rather soft, not crunchy). For drinks we usually have homemade lemonade, offered in many tastes, made from cleaned still water. If these are not enough, you can put together a salad from the many options available in the self-serve salad bar.
Read moreHowever, there are some downsides to the tastiness: the restaurant is always crowded. On a workday, during the day, on a weekend, during lunchtime, you name it. As a result, we often have to wait before a table becomes free and we can sit down, and of course the crowd also affects preparation time: if in a hurry, it’s better to ask about when you can expect your food to be ready before you order. Once we had to wait a full hour for our burgers – we were told less, had we known they will take so long to prepare, we would have eaten elsewhere that day. I think an expansion or a second store somewhere else is long overdue.
Another “issue” we have with them is that the store also pops up at festivals and events (like Vegan Sunday Markets held in Ankert once a month, Vegan Food Fests, or Christmas markets), and on these occasions they offer limited edition burgers. The issue here is that these burgers often taste even better than the regular ones on the menu – my husband often complains about liking the limited burgers much more than the ones on the menu. The vegan donuts the restaurant sells during the above listed events are also not available in the actual restaurant.
One more thing worth mentioning: over the past years we’ve experienced a fluctuation in the quality and taste of the hot sauce. Both the hubs and I are hot food lovers, so we usually order the sweet potato fries with hot sauce – but the taste of the sauce is never the same! In the beginning it was hot as hell, even to our trained tastebuds, then it got less hot, and its taste was OK. The last time we've been to the restaurant (early January 2019), the sauce was changed again, and tasted like tomato/pizza sauce with some hot spices thrown in. We did not like it at all.
Pros: tasty burgers, good location, often available offsite
Cons: tiny, crowded restaurant, limited edition burgers and donuts

Good food but small place - Edit
Burgers and fries were tasty, but I was kinda disappointed despite the hype around Vegan Love. The place is very very small and there were lots of people which made it almost impossible to find a seat without some luck and even when you have encountered a seat, you feel very stressed to leave and eat your meal as quickly as possible. Maybe it was just a busy hour/day, but I couldn't enjoy my meal as I was stressed out by the queue next to me and the people in the line staring at every table in hope for free seats.
