good hummus and falafel - Edit
They had a few options for vegans and the food tasted good, but it was a bit remote compared to other restaurants, and if you don't love hummus I would come here, as eveerything is extremely hummus heavy.

The best falafel in the city - Edit
If I want falafel, I always go here. My go to food is the main menu with hummus and salad mix which is soo yummy. The only problem with the restaurant is that it's a bit tiny and can be crowded. They recently went vegetarian, so they no longer serve meat here.

Waste of money - Edit
Don’t waste your money trying this hummus. Had the hummus bowl with chickpeas and it literally was chickpeas out a tin on the hummus with a pita. The hummus was the worst I’ve had, creamy but so flat and beige, no lemon or garlic flavours. Garnished with a tiny amount of olive oil, parsley and tahini. Didn’t add any flavour. I can make x1000 times tastier hummus at home. Confused by the good reviews, but we haven’t tried every dish. The menu was slightly confusing to work out what was vegan.

Yay Hummus! - Edit
As far as "options" places go, Hummusbar is pretty good, There are several locations throughout the city and we ate at a couple of them. The Falafel Bowl is very filling but doesn't have much in the way of veggies. The Falafel Pita sandwich is tasty and has some nice greens included. We also though the prices are quite good for the amount of food.

Many vegan options to choose from! - Edit
They have a nice sitting area outside next to the street, just be aware of the sometimes heavy meat smell coming from the not so vegan-friendly restaurant next door :”)
Read moreI chose the complete Hummus plate (with chickpeas, mushrooms, Falafel and Pita bread) and it was very tasty! For me the ratio between Hummus and Falafel/bread was honestly disproportionate. I couldn’t finish all the Hummus, I guess I would’ve needed at least another Pita bread or two. It’s very filling though!
The staff was friendly and fast, they speak English and accept credit card payments.

Amazing falafel - Edit
We had the Complete hummus bowl and it definitely was an great experience.
Read moreThe hummus was super creamy and the falafel balls were perfectly crispy and soft inside. Although we enjoyed it, it seemed a little dull. We'd still recommend it, as there were many vegan options, very nice and clean place and friendly, English speaking staff.

Lots of choice - Edit
This place serves meat but there are lots of vegan and veggie options that are filling and tasty and reasonably priced. There are branches around the city.

Fast, delicious, good price - Edit
Very small restaurant with focus on fast food preparation. However, the food is great and you can also sit outside.
Read moreThere weren't many costumers during my visit so I can't guarantee it's always that quick!

Our go-to hummus bar for a lunch with colleagues - Edit
I really like the Hummus Bar franchise, and have eaten at their various restaurants countless times in the past. This restaurant is relatively close to my workplace, and we have been visiting this place with my colleagues during lunch breaks for years. I can't remember a thing I tried and didn't like here - their hummus is creamy, juicy and savoury, and the plates are big and filling - so filling that it happened to me more than once that I was so full that I ended up not having dinner :O
Read moreThe restaurant is easy to reach via public transport, and it's close to the world heritage-listed bank of the river Danube, Gellért square and Gellért baths, so it's also a good place to visit with friends from abroad. During warmer months you can also sit outside, though the road next to the tables is a little busy.
The only downside I can think of is that the restaurant is relatively small and seems to be loved by locals: it gets crowded often. It has happened to us more than once that we had to wait for a seat, and then food preparation also took long. If you want to drop by for an office lunch but you have a meeting to attend in an hour, choose another day to eat here :)
