So many options - Edit
I was surprised about the diversity of the menu and found it hard to choose, but their food is delicious, just make sure to specify vegan! The vegan chicken is some of the best I’ve had. Make sure to save room for dessert, there’s tons of baked goods ready to go, I loved the Oreo brownie I got.

Great fast food, but not all vegan - Edit
Like others said, it is not all vegan, which is confusing given the name. They have dairy cheese options and lots of the desserts are not vegan.
Read moreThe vegan chick'un is great though! I had the spicy vegan chick'un burger. There's some Indian-inspired food on the menu also, like the masala fries, which were very tasty. I had a vegan cake slice and it was not great.

Vegan junk food gem - Edit
Capitalized on a bogo offer on some chick’un sandwiches and some fries. Great vegan chicken sandwhich. Lots of options at this place and fair prices.

Many options, open late! - Edit
I got the sweet chilli burger and it was pretty good. Staff was friendly and there were loads of options. The menu was well labeled as too what is vegan, and what is not and also says to pls tell staff what cheese you want. Really appreciated that they are open late. Trying to get vegan food after 9/10 on a week day can be pretty difficult.
Read morePeople are giving this place a hard time because it has “ vegan” in the label, but is only vegetarian. That’s a personal assumption. Their chicken is vegan, and that’s what the name says. I’ve uploaded some of the updated menu where everything seems to be labeled.
Pros: Many options, Many sweet treats
Cons: No compost container inside.

Mid, also not all vegan? - Edit
I really love the chicken strips and made the mistake in ordering the “cheese” dipping sauce under the impression that it was vegan. Because duh, if you have “vegan” in the title, you’d assume everything is vegan. It wasn’t properly labelled on Uber eats, so I ordered it a few times before realizing it. I wish the owners of these places were actually vegan so they understood their menu a bit more. Anyways, the chicken strips are okay, the fish burger is pretty nice.

Not vegan. - Edit
Word "vegan" in the name of this place refers to fried chick'un, not the whole place. They sell dairy ice cream and cheesecakes. Also, if you don' t specify you want vegan, you might end up with dairy cheese in your meal, e.g. poutine is by default non-vegan. The same deal as with Terra Burger (same owners) and almost the same offer, just without burgers. Staff is really nice and helpful, though.

Cons: Not vegan., Misleading name, Keto bull$hit

Newly [re?-]opened with vegan-forward menu - Edit
UPDATE: I think this place, apparently opened under new management for two months (but still with the old establishment's name Simple Bites on its window), is named *Vegan Fried Chick'un*...

Happy Cow listing above is wrong: It doesn't serve meat, and this place actually has more than a dozen vegan dessert options.
The OLD place, Simple Bites, has been closed for months and definitely used to serve meat. So I think you may want to disregard any reviews you see on other foodies sites re: Simple Bites.
** I hope this great little place updates its name to distinguish itself from the old place soon**
We discovered this place by accident, and just tried three desserts: chocolate chip cookie, nanaimo bar cookie, and a salt-caramel topped brownie. All delicious, some appear to have come from other vegan suppliers in the city. It's not fancy, just a few tables, and not a huge menu (mostly chick'un plate variations) but we can't wait to come back and try more stuff... we're stoked that we can go out in our own neighbourhood for a decent slice of vegan cheez cake, vegan tiramisu, vegan carrot cake... we look forward to trying butter chick'un. It's not exclusively vegan (there are also keto / gluten free options, some vegetarian options) but most items seem to be vegan and the many vegan options look clearly demarcated. Owner is very nice and said the place had only been open two months. I believe they took over a place of the same name that did not used to have vegan options.... so if you look them up on Yelp, be aware that those reviews refer the place under its previous management. They do not appear to have really advertised much so let's support them! This is not health food by any stretch but it is the place you can get old comfort-food favourites and you could probably bring an omni friend here who would barely notice that they were eating vegan food. We will update this when we try other foods.
