Very tasty - Edit
I went to a market with several popups and purchased something from each one. I wish I had just ordered everything Vegan Chula was offering. The crispy chickn tenders were fried to perfection with flavorful seasonings.

An absolute MUST TRY! - Edit
This is some of the best vegan food I have ever tried IN MY LIFE (and I eat a lot of vegan food...).
Read moreThere is so much thought and attention to detail towards each dish. I am a big texture person, and that is another thing that I appreciate a lot about Vegan Chula dishes.
And for anybody who is not typically a vegan eater, they would never know that this is even vegan!
Pros: satisfying textures, LOADS OF FLAVOR!, variety of dishes offered, mouth wateringly delicious...

Poblano Mac and Cheese - Edit
The Poblano Mac and Cheese is the most flavorful Mac and cheese I've ever had! It had poblano cream sauce, queso blanco, fried shallot & jalapeño, and spiced sunflower seeds. The fried elements were super flavorful and added a great crunch.
Read moreThe hot honey popcorn chik'n was extremely satisfying, definitely worth adding to the Mac for an extra fee. The honey is a housemade habanero apple honey.
The chorizo con papas empanda was amazing, too. The chorizo is spiced very nicely and also housemade. The horchata-chocolate parfait was so creamy and a great finish to such a solid meal.

Delicioso - Edit
I have been lucky enough to have eaten Vegan Chula several times and the food never disappoints! I love all the food, but my favorite are the flautas. I love how crispy the outside is and the sauces are divine! On top of the delicious fare, Vegan Chula is a woman-owned and operated small business that feels great to support! Vegan Chula pops up at several spots throughout the Bay Area and also caters private events. Her presentation for parties are super lovely and the food is fun and colorful!

Bomb! - Edit
I bought lunch for my team recently and the food was packed impeccably and traveled well! Out of the ~5 times I've had VC, I have never been disappointed. The portions are perfect, the presentation is gorgeous but most importantly the flavors are on point! The mac and cheese is my personal fav. Oh and Danielle is just a lovely human also.

try literally EVERYTHING - Edit
Vegan Chula's food is exceptional. Danielle has catered two events for me and not only is the food fantastic, Danielle is both professional and personal. She worked with me to make sure we had enough food and her plating was gorgeous. I'm an omnivore and have friends who are a bit more on the carnivore side--they LOVED it. Vegan Chula's food is not just "good VEGAN food" it's just BOMB FOOD PERIODT. I have been able to find her at multiple pop ups and have had the opportunity to try everything on the menu. The mac and cheese and the fried tofu sammy are super popular (and for good reason!), some folks have slept on the corn cakes, but they are absolutely one of my favorites, and the fruit platter with a coconut cream dipping situation just really makes my mouth happy. She's also made some little pepper poppers stuffed with queso and I love that she uses some spicy peppers and some sweet peppers! I highly recommend the salad and add some mini fried tofu on top (freaking exquisite). Finally, the desserts: from cream puff conchas to churros to cheesecake bites to mini donuts, you just can't go wrong. Danielle is committed to FLAVOR. She is truly a genius when it comes to cooking with texture and flavor and my taste buds and tummy are always so happy after a meal here.

Wow!! Hands down the best food I have ever had! - Edit
Vegan Chula is one of my favorite spots to eat. Literally every single item on their menu I have tried and LOVE! My 3 favorite things are the chicken fried tofu torta, the poblano mac and cheese and the cream puff dessert! The best thing about their food other than the unique flavor and deliciousness is that they are tapas style so you can basically try everything at once and it will be a very tasty and satisfying meal. You can also tell the food is made fresh with the best ingredients! I’ve had Vegan Chula at pop up spots and catered events and the food comes out delicious and consistent every time! Highly recommend this place!
