Delicious Amazing Vegan Meal! - Edit
We stopped in for lunch since we weren’t staying at the hotel and they welcomed us in with open arms and our server was also vegan and very passionate about the food. The plates were all pieces of artwork.
Read moreA lot of focus on seasonal / local foods
We got delicious pumpkin ravioli might be our favorite dish on our Italy trip, kale pesto, and a beautiful rainbow delicious salad, kombucha, and a detox juice. Also got cheesecake to go since we were in a rush. They really do whole food justice, letting the vegetables or fruit stand out.
Only fully vegan place we found near San Gimignano.
It is also an all vegan hotel stay and they also have their own wine and olive oil!
Pricier meal but totally worth it and not pricey for the San Gimignano area. We definitely will come back in the future!!

Not just a restaurant - Edit
The agrivilla isn't just a vegan restaurant, it is a fantastic place to stay and recharge for a few nights if you can find a free room and you can afford it. We only stayed a night because it was the only available day on that week. It was fully booked and we were lucky enough to get the room after contacting them because we could not do it via the website.
Read moreThe dinner and breakfast, enjoyed in their terrace with a beautiful view, were very good and so was the presentation for each dish. The staff were super nice and international. English isn't a problem and they also spoke Italian, German and Dutch, that we know of.
The room we stayed was also fantastic, simple, rustic and well-designed. I loved the stone floor and those details like the bathroom metal handle (see image). The bed was very comfortable, it was quiet and clean.
I really can't say anything bad about the Agrivilla I Pini. The only thing I really dislike was the chair in the dining terrace. It was so uncomfortable.
You should check it out if you have a chance. In addition you can also enjoy a visit to San Gimignano which is a beautiful village 20 min walk away from the villa. Or even better you can explore more of Tuscany, which is a beautiful region, if you love that type of vibe.
Pros: good and creative food, amazing location and room, very good staff
Cons: not for every wallet, need a car to reach

Agrivilla I Pini - culinary well-being for all your senses - Edit
The perfect place to experience back-to-nature cuisine. Once you visit, you will experience a complete package of hospitality that you will remember for years to come.
Read moreFrom simple dishes such as potatoes, oats, or pasta to a special pizza evening every Thursday - you will be excited to see what can really be experienced with pizza! The food is carefully balanced in flavors and textures. One of the important aspects of their cuisine is the way the food is grown in their thoughtfully structured garden. They pay lots of attention not only to the eco and bio origin but also to the energy of the food and how it is produced. They ensure that good energy is shared at every stage of growing and producing food, so the taste and nutritional aspects of the ingredients are of the highest value.
Not to forget their own Hortus olive oil, bio wine, and all the ingredients that Chef Lahiri brings to the plate.
If you want to experience an organic farm concept once in a lifetime in all its glory, this is the place for you. You will bring home a "book" of inspiration that will lead you to a better future. A place not to be missed for all those who like to enjoy excellent wholesome food and combinations that you have never thought of before.

A journey through culinary well-being - Edit
What a lovely place to enjoy the pleasure of wholesome cuisine. And it's not only about the delicious food, also the place itself is an added value experience. The terrace & the inner restaurant are a beautiful place to have a relaxing dinner, inspiring breakfast, or light lunch.

One of the main aspects of their cuisine is in the way of growing their food. They are not careful only about eco and bio origin, but also about the energy of the food and in what way is produced. They are careful that good energy is shared across each stage of growing and producing the food, and therefore, the taste and the nourishing aspect of the ingredients has the highest value. The love for the whole process is felt and tasted on the final plate.
If you take a holiday there you will notice their beautiful & rich garden and also the work that they put in it, so we can truly appreciate the flow from growing the ingredient to the moment it is served on our plate.
They keep traditional Italian dishes in the heart, which are made with a twist, as they put the usual side ingredients into the spotlight and surprise with the flavors. Dishes with Artichokes, potatoes, and homemade pasta are a real joy. I enjoyed the most in their Thursday Pizza Night, where they serve a variety of homemade, fresh-baked pizza in vegan style - simply delicious and inspiring combinations!
I also liked the rich selection of nonalcoholic drinks especially their teas from fresh herbs from their garden. They produce their own Olive oil with Hortus seal. They also offer a variety of selected bio wines from the region and of their production. They are simply almost self sufficient when it comes to food.

Beautiful Vegan Hotel in Tuscany with Incredible Food - Edit
I stayed at I Pini at the end of April and had a wonderful time! Where to start? The food was incredible—definitely opt for the half board. You’ll be served a healthful and varied breakfast every morning plus multi-course dinner every night. The menu is always changing and is based on the food grown in the on-site garden or what can be locally sourced. Everything is plant-based, gluten-free, and delicious. In addition to the meals, my mom and I did the olive grove picnic (an add-on) which I highly recommend. One of my favorite experiences from any vacation ever. We had a beautiful assortment of food and drinks in the middle of I Pini’s olive grove (they make their own olive oil and wine by the way). I could continue to rave about the food, but I’ll move onto the scenery. It’s what you picture when you think of Tuscany. Absolutely gorgeous views and you can walk into the town of San Gimignano, an old fortress city. The community at I Pini was also great. My mom and I met a lot of nice people during our stay and the meals turned into conversations with other guests. Overall, I’d highly recommend and hope to go back soon!

Amazing! - Edit
I recently had the privilege of spending a week at I Pini, and I can confidently say it was an unforgettable experience. From the moment I arrived, I was surrounded by a world of thoughtfulness and beauty that left a mark on my heart.
Read moreThe staff at I Pini are nothing short of incredible. Their kindness and warmth made me feel right at home from the very start. As a health-conscious vegan, I was grateful to experience their meals made with ingredients straight from their garden. The sense of trust and assurance I felt, knowing that everything I consumed was locally sourced and carefully cultivated, was something I had never really experienced while traveling.
What truly set the cuisine at I Pini apart, was the way they incorporated wild herbs into each dish. These special touches added a connection to nature that elevated every meal. Chef Lahiri, a true artist in the kitchen, is not only remarkably talented but also deeply connected to the essence of plant-based cooking. You can taste the love and passion he brings to each dish.
Beyond how delicious everything is, Lahiri's commitment to a no-waste philosophy is truly commendable. He artfully transforms every ingredient, ensuring that nothing goes to waste. This creative approach to sustainability adds a unique and inspiring dimension to the dining experience at I Pini.
Francesca and Benjamin, the visionary owners of I Pini, radiate a beautiful energy that sets the tone for the entire stay. They lead by example, demonstrating the beauty of slow living and a connection to the land. It's clear that they live and breathe their values, and their dedication to creating a sustainable and harmonious environment shines through in every detail.
My week at I Pini was a transformative experience that exceeded all expectations. It's a place where every aspect, from the food to the people, is full with love and mindfulness. If you're seeking a haven of relaxation, delicious vegan cuisine, and the opportunity to connect with nature, I Pini is where you need to go. My heart is full of gratitude for the memories I made there, and I can't wait to return sooner rather than later. Thank you, I Pini, for an unforgettable week of slow living.

While I understand the food would be costly considering the location and views, it was not extraordinary taste wise. Their house made bread was a bit dry so that was a let down. The salad was really nice and filling. The ravioli was too small for a main.

Extras - know before you go - Edit
stayed here for three nights. The scenery, walks through the vineyard and olive grove, salt water pool, all beautiful.
Read moreThe one thing that bothered me were all the extra charges. I assumed that for what they charge to stay here, a cappuccino with breakfast and one glass of wine with dinner would be included. It was not. The wine prices were reasonable but a cappuccino was 5 Euro, more than twice what I paid anywhere else.
This was the middle portion of a 10-day trip and we were hoping to do some laundry. I had resigned myself to the 30 euro per load until I saw that it was 30 euro for lights and another 30 for darks.
Of our three dinners, Thursday’s pizza night and another meal that had greens and homemade pasta were both excellent. The third dinner was ok. One of the three desserts was good. I didn’t like the breakfasts, but just my preferences probably.
Also there was never anyone at the desk to ask questions about getting around, etc.
Pros: Great pizza with whole grain crust on Thursdays, Gorgeous views, 20 minute walk to bus stops in San Gimignano
Cons: Extra charges for beverages

Good but pricy - Edit
There are many positive points about dining at this restaurant, but giving the high price, I was expecting a little bit more. The restaurant is beautiful and you will be seated in a cozy outside area. Service is very friendly and polite, food will be served quickly and they use organic and whole foods to prepare the dishes. I was expecting a little bit more regarding the flavors.. don't get me wrong, the food is good but isn't extraordinary. Maybe it was a bit bad luck with the draft, as they change their menus daily.

Way overpriced! - Edit
Was really excited to eat here, we drove almost 2 hours just to come here so my expectations were really high. Unfortunately, I didn’t find the food THAT impressive. Very expensive (double the price we’ve been paying in other places in Tuscany) & for not that big of portions. For example the dessert I got was tiny and it was 11 or 12 euros! The burger was almost 30 and my 5-piece ravioli was 27 or 28 euros. The service was top notch, very nice waiter and waitress.
