Must-visit in Kyoto - Edit
We’ve eaten here for breakfast and dinner and we were really satisfied with the food, service and ambiance (view of the river & restaurant temperature) on both visits. I loved the matcha latte during breakfast but it was not available for dinner. There are separate menus for breakfast, lunch, afternoon teatime & dinner. Definitely coming back here when we’re in Kyoto.

Good food - Edit
Was a nice assortment of veggies with sauce coating, I enjoyed the fried seitan very much! I think my total for the Banzai dish, apple juice and muffin was just under ¥2,300.

Stylish Vegan Cafe, Environment is very good - Edit
Personally, I will suggest having breakfast here in the morning, because when the sun shines into the cafe, then take a deep breath under the sun, and you will be filled up by all the positive energy. The good day begins with breakfast ☀️

One of my favorite places in Kyoto - Edit
I love the river view at this place and the food is consistently good. On my last visit, for two people, we had: White wine

Everything was great. We went late and the cake was the only dessert they had (left?) Could have easily had another piece of the cake. It was fruity and delicious.
You can walk there easily from Kyoto station as it is only around 850 meters away.
Hope to visit again on a future trip to Kyoto.

Cozy atmosphere and good food - Edit
I ate twice there during my stay in Kyoto. Everything was very tasty and good, nice desserts as well. The problem can be that some dishes become "sold out" quickly, first time I see this happening in a restaurant.

Don’t go - Edit
Got here about 40 minutes after they opened and a few dishes were already “sold out.” What?! In addition, the menu was already extremely sparse, there was only one “main” which was fried soy meat. I ordered it and the waitress recommended that I order something else too, as it “wasn’t enough for a meal”. If it’s not enough, why is it labeled as a “main”?! I tried to fill up on dessert to bridge the gap, but they only had one, very small and sad looking option in the case so I passed. The bill for what was essentially a side of fried tofu and brown rice came out to 1600 ¥ and I left hungry. Would not recommend.

Popular but expensive! - Edit
If you go for dinner and have to wait in line, definetly inform about any dishes that are sold out. I waited in line for nearly 45 minutes and when I finally got to my seat (at around 6:30pm), nearly 80% of all dishes were already sold out. They could have improved on that by telling waiting customers upfront. I compromised and got the deep fried soy, which was the only main course left. It was absolutely delicious, but for a main course the portion was extremely small (only about 8 bite-sized pieces and no veggies) and super expensive. I believe other people had better experiences, but unfortunately I didn't.

Lovely view of the river - Edit
A cosy restaurant with a small but interesting menu. We both ordered the Buddha bowl. While it was tasty, for the price, very expensive. The food is good quality, but not AMAZING, which based on most reviews is what we were expecting. The staff appeared miserable- which is often telling of management. No smiling - they just looked like they hated being there. Overall, disappointing, but a good stop to relax and watch the human traffic, while eating some nice food.

Nice vibes - Edit
This little place has mixed reviews, mainly about the expense. I really enjoyed it and loved the location on the river and the cozy, rustic vibe inside. I got a veg curry and slice of raw cake, while it wasn't huge it was very tasty and satisfying and I thought over all good value for money. I could tell the ingredients were good quality and the feel of the place is that of a healthy eating emphasis, which means over excessive plate sizes wouldn't be right for what they are going for.
