Amazing breakfast, and we came back for dinner too - Edit
Very good quality coffee (we had drip and a soy latte) and delicious breakfast options. We had toast of the day (guacamole) and vegetable panini with tofu feta. Very chilled atmosphere with friendly, efficient staff. Highly recommend. We came back for dinner the same day - try the soy carbonara, fried soy meat and double potato salad if they’re on offer.

Tasty but a little spendy - Edit
A busy spot popular with the tourists. We tried the carbonara and the taco rice which were both good, but preferred the carbonara. Also tried the double potato salad which was interesting, sort of like potato salad flavoured mashed potatoes. Friendly English speaking staff.

Different Menu - Edit
I was excited to see the deep-fried soy meat main dish on their website dinner menu.
Read moreWhen I went there during dinner hour, they only had 1 carbonara pasta and a couple rice dishes available as main dish...
I got the carbonara and it wasn’t that impressive :(
Please update the website menu so you don’t give people who travelled all the way there false hope!
Pros: River View, English Menu, Friendly Staffs
Cons: Expensive, Inconsistent, Taste Average

Great! - Edit
We came here three times - the first time we had the lunch plate. Everything was delicious, and it was really nice to have whole foods like lentils and quinoa, as you don't find them much in Japan. It was a good price for what we got.
Read moreThe second time we came in for brunch, and they'd sold out of almost everything. We had the avocado toast which was pricy for not very much food. The third time we managed to get their acai bowl for breakfast which was better!
The food is really tasty, but make sure you get there before they sell out of stuff and for breakfast I wouldn't get anything other than the bowl as you won't be full!
Pros: Delicious, Lunch was really good and lots of variety, gorgeous location
Cons: they sell out of some dishes, some breakfast options are small

Limited menu - Edit
We had for starters salsa and a plate of tempeh, for mains . SpAghetti “ carbonara” and risotto . And two drinks apple and ginger . Great drinks , the mains were tasty but the bill came to a high 7000 yen or AUD 75 for two. Even in Tokyo a similar meal was around 5000 yen. By Australian standards it is a cafe with restaurant prices . As we not allowed in before 6pm even though the coffee area was supposed to be open we found a great new Tokyo beer lab around the corner that has vegan food . But we came back here to try it out and found it ok but not worth what we paid

Best Coffee in Japan!!!! - Edit
Coming from Australia we have a large coffee drinking culture and this bonsoy latte was even better than that I would have gotten at home. Also the veggie panini we ate was absolutely delicious with tofu feta and pumpkin. Definitely recommend! We ate the breakfast menu so not sure about lunch or dinner. Enjoy!

Yummy but not belly-filling - Edit
Very good food, nice space and view, but the portions are crazy small for the price you pay! Yummy but not worth it.

Original & delicious vegan dishes! Oishi! - Edit
We had the daily Soup, Taco Rice, Tofu Carbonara and Green Curry Risotto. A very unique use of herbs create some great vegan flavours - my wife wa surprised that it was vegan. We finished with a Bonsoy Chai latte... perfect! Highly recommended.

We ate here twice while staying in Kyoto. Although it wasn’t close to where we were staying it was worth renting some bikes to eat here! Wonderful atmosphere and real food and coffee (they even use bonsoy - the only soy worth drinking).

very good - Edit
I tried the banzai lunch special and i have to say it’s delicious. It has a variety of different foods some of different origins and it was very good. If you’re coming for lunch try to make it before 3pm otherwise you won’t be able to get the lunch

Beautiful Fine Dining - Edit
Lovely atmosphere, friendly staff with great English. I recommend the carbonara pasta, I’m not a pasta fan but it is SO Devine! The hot wine is also delicious and comforting if you’re visiting in the winter. Highly recommend if you’re looking for a fancy dinner date location. It’s a little expensive but you get what you pay for - good quality organic meals etc.

Good vibe, great food! - Edit
Went there today for dinner. Fantastic river view and we managed to catch the sun set over the water. This place has a lively vibe and staff are really friendly. They have an English menu and offer a variety of choices.
Read moreWe ordered the tofu carbonara and the green curry risotto. The pasta came with an extremely rich and creamy sauce which I loved. We also ordered their chocolate "cheese"cake (raw vegan) and coconut muffin with choc chips for dessert. The raw cake was heavenly with a rich cholocate flavour. Would go back if I have time!

A great place - Edit
The place is really nice and pretty. I enjoyed the food but it was too spicy for my liking and there wasn’t a lot of options. They also sell interesting snacks there but they’re a bit pricey, though it’s still a nice place!

This was a lovely minimal style cafe that’s all vegan. I went for breakfast and had their toast special, which was delicious. Their coffee is very good and they offer hand drip. The prices were expensive but it was quality and had a great view.

Not a favorite - Edit
I wouldn't call this place bad, but I can't recommend it either. My dish was not very interesting. Also, while the restaurant claims to have cafe hours until 6pm and serve dinner after that time, arriving at 5:30 means you have to wait outside until they are ready to take dinner orders. At least the service was quick!

Nice place, lame menu - Edit
Dropped in for breakfast.
Read moreI was underwhelmed by the breakfast menu with only a few simple options. Toast, a veg panino and a couple of yoghurt bowls.
I orders the panino (disappointing) and the acai bowl. The acai bowl was really poor - not enough fruit and hardly any granola.
I was also disappointed by the service which was very slow indeed.
I'm sorry to say, I can't recommend this place because the food is well below par.
