Excellent place in salta - Edit
Very happy that salta has a couple of vegan, veggie and healthy places to go. We found this one and had some pizzas. They have a nice menu.

Disappointing service and food - Edit
We were dissapionted in serveral ways. We went there 3 times to ty it out. The first time was at 8 p.m.. According to Google it was open starting from 7.30 p.m.. A woman came outside and told us to wait for a 'ratito' (short time) and that it normally opens at 8 p.m. After waiting 15 minutes we left because we were very hungry. The second time was at noon, again open according to google and their facebook, but then the chef told us that they were closing the restaurant at noon for a few weeks and would open at 8.30 p.m. (again a different hour!). We went one time more at 8.30 p.m. and then we could have a meal.
Read moreThe dinner however was also very disappointing. The menu was little, they didn't have the first thing I wanted to order and the food was rather basic and in small portions. I don't recognise the pictures on happy cow being on the menu. There was only one other couple there. Afterwards we went for pizza because we were still hungry. It is really strange to read all the excellent reviews here, not in line with our experience. We think maybe it changed owned or something? To top it off, we saw the chef a view days later selling meat at the street.
I would defenitely recommend going to Chirmoya restaurant instead! Great food, big portoins and cheap.

We went on a Monday evening and it wasn't open. Happy Cow, Google and their Vaikuntha's facebook page all have different opening hours, which is really confusing! Tables were set, but by 8.30, just hanging about, we left.

We had the burger and Asian wok, and then went back the next day for the eggplant sandwich, pizza, brownie and a cacao smoothie. Everything was very good, you have the get a smoothie too! Highly recommend 👍🏼

Lovely food but WAY too salty - Edit
Me and my friend went here is search of vegetables having felt like all we had eaten recently was carbs! We ordered juices which were incredible!! We had the zucchini noodles and the work thai. They were nice and had loads of veggies in but unfortunately we couldn't finish our food because it was so so salty.

The food is amazing, there is something for everyone. When I came in, the place was empty, but soon other people arrived, all of them foreigners. The atmosphere is really nice and you can pay with your Visa card, which is great.

We came here for lunch and ordered lemonade with ginger mint, lemonade with pears mint ginger, Thai Wok and Zucchini Noodles. Both the dishes and drinks were great!

Wonderful meal at Vaikuntha - Edit
We had a delicious vegetarian meal at Vaikuntha, and very pleasant evening. Excellent and friendly service with yummy food - very healthy and extremely delicious. Lovely atmosphere and decor too! Very good wine recommended by the staff. Would definitely highly recommend.

I had a vegan pizza and a nut milk/chocolate shake. Both were delicious. They also gave me a complimentary appetizer zucchini wheels with a vegan cheese, cherry tomatoes and chia seeds. Yum! Not sure what that was about but I enjoyed it! Staff were friendly and helpful. Venue and atmosphere were lovely.

Entering, and then looking at the menu, I thought "wow, really? this is vegan??". And yes, it is. They have a great choice of dishes - crazy salads, integral sandwiches, warm mains (lasagna, zucchini noodles with pesto, nuts, and a lots more), mouthwatering appetizers, integral pizzas and insane-sounding desserts, AND a great choice of juices!

Oh yes, you could want a friendly staff, and they are just adorable. And affordable prices, and they definitely are.
I had a "equilibrio" salad, that combined somehow too many different things. But well, it did just as it said on the menu, so my fault. And a "pura vida" green juice that was really nice.

I had the zucchini pasta with portobellos, sundried tomatoes and olives and it was amazing. Love the place. Cheap too, 65 pesos for a great dish. My friend had a sandwich with avocado and a lot more (55pesos) Tasted good too! Juices and smoothies are awesome as well. We drank some coffee and they gave us free raw little dessert thingies. Very nice!
