Expected it to be better - Edit
Sadly this place didn’t live up to my expectations. I had the mushroom sushi and potato croquettes.
Read moreIt wasn’t bad it just wasn’t WOW!
The croquettes were just balls of mashed potato with no flavour and were pretty awkward to eat due to their large round shape.
The mushroom sushi was better, the sauce actually had some flavour, the rice was nice and sticky and a slice of mushroom thing was fine.
I went with two others and neither of them were blown away either unfortunately
Pros: Presentation was nice , No plastic was used
Cons: Bit bland (croquettes)

A gem hidden in plain sight - Edit
If you are like my partner and I, you’d not expect this food cart to be where it is and you’d be avoiding this very western-catered night market full of elephant pants wearing hippies and party bros... you’d be missing out on V Secret if you did though! Amazing northern Thai cuisine and very affordable!! Highly recommend

All vegan food stall at the Ploen Night Market.

Best vegan street food - Edit
You can find this place on the Ploen street food place. They have a good variety of vegan food. The taste is just great, I had a Thai classic Tom Yum soup with rice. You can even choose your spicy level. I can really recommend this place! The staff is friendly and can speak good English.

The food here was really good and a good price. I love the location, it's in a really cool night market with loads of food stalls and live music. The wait time was no longer than it was at other stalls in the market.

Delicious - Edit
This is a must go in Chiang Mai. The food is super tasty and they have a menu I've never seen before in Thailand, so you get to try new dishes, new flavours. The tofu sushi and the banana fritters are incredibly good. We went there a few times and tried almost everything 😁 We more than recommend it!

The tofu mushroom sushi is so incredibly good. Long wait for food, and a little confusion about people’s orders while I was there, but they are making the food on the spot and it was worth the wait.

Hidden gem that MUST be visited - Edit
This is by far one of the best places to eat in Chiang Mai. We've already eaten here 3 times and will be back again before we leave. The flavours of the dishes are incredible and the menu has a great variety of options. The food is up there with the fanciest of restaurants, even though it's street food. All the dishes are cooked fresh, the ladies cooking them are friendly and we can't recommended them enough. It's a hidden gem that has to be tried! It's unbelievably good value for the high quality of food that is being sold. 5 stars from us, everyone needs to try V-Secret ❤️

Yummy food - Edit
The food was good, a bit of a wait though on service also, in my opinion, a little understaffed for a food stall at a market. 2dishes for 100thb was good deal though but the portions are small. Vegan sausages are a good choice.

1 Michelin Star - Edit
If they ever do Michelin stars for vegan restaurants this place would be one of those hole in the wall joints that would get one. The food is all cooked to order, presentation is amazing, try the crispy mushrooms or the tea leaf salad they rock. They make their own tempeh twice a week and if they run out too bad you missed out. Highly recommend and I live in CNX and there is a lot of vegan food to choose from but this little restaurant stands out of the crowd for the taste and care they put into their food.

Chiang Mai's best kept secret - Edit
This little vegan food stall in Ploen Ruedee Market (Pink [censored] Shop in the night bazaar Chiang Klan Rd) offers one of the best vegan food experiences that you will find in Chiang Mai. The menu is not extensive, but what is on offer is exceptionally delicious, innovative and affordable. You may need to wait a short while as the very talented lady running the stall works on her own, but please be patient as you will find that it's well worth your while. Everything is cooked fresh and served on wooden boards without the use of plastic utensils etc. The sauces are served in cucumber rounds, curries served in cabbage leaves and banana leaves for salads and stir-frys. Do yourself a favour and just go there.
Read morePros: Fresh, delicious, nutritious, eco-friendly.
Cons: A little wait if she is busy.

I’ve been living in Chiang Mai for a while and have eaten at most if not all vegan spots.. finding V secret was amazing. The menu is small as it is just one lovely lady making all the food with love. It’s arguably the best vegan food here. And the price is incredible. All made to order

The best food we've had in Thailand - Edit
Once you find the market it's easy to find. She prepares everything fresh for you, and everything is extremely tasty. It's also quite cheap, 4 dishes for 150 baht. We ate 8 dishes with 3 persons and we were stuffed. The market is also a nice place to sit with live music. It was so good I highland recommend it to anyone that visits Chiang Mai. Where is the sixth star when you need it?

One of the best meals we’ve had - Edit
Without a doubt some of the best vegetarian/vegan food in Chang Mai, the lady who runs the stall is lovely and the presentation and flavour of the food is incredible. The individual items are small but they have prices for 2-3-4 combined and it’s still a very cheep meal for 4 items all of which where unique and so tasty. We’re going back another night to try the rest of the menu. A must try for anyone in Chang Mai
