Tasty but pricey

I had yam fries to start and then Jallof rice and plaintain. Yams were okay, but main really tasty. Liked the restaurant and servers were friendly. I just thought it was very expensive for what it was.

Decent size menu

They have a plant based menu which is about the same size of the non plant based menu.
Lots of rice, bean, plantain and yam dishes which seem healthy. Mine was tasty. They also have Evan wings etc so you will not struggle.

Pros: Good size menu, Location

Deliciously different.

Nigerian cuisine isn’t known for its vegan-friendliness, so I was delighted to see the vegan menu here. Primarily catering to the local Nigerian community, the staff were very welcoming and helpful. The space was a little dark, so they brought a small lamp to help us see the menu.

I chose the egusi, a stew with ground melon seeds, served with swallow (a steamed lump of starchy goodness), and a side of fried plantain. It didn’t look like a lot, but it was tasty and filling. The Omnivore had something to their satisfaction.

I plan to return and investigate the rest of the vegan menu.

Pros: An unusual cuisine for Edinburgh, Tasty, satisfying food., Outrageously friendly staff

Cons: Loud music playing, A tad dark, Not cheap!

Delicious jollof

Delicious jollof rice with plantain. Menu is very clearly marked. Service can feel a little chaotic but is above all friendly.
