Urban yum! - Edit
I have been to Urban Beets 3 times and it is always delicious. I am also gluten-free and they have so many options. Right now I am smelling vegan gluten-free cookies.... I am going to have to take a few for the trip back home.

Very hip, expansive menu. Love seeing plants used in such creative ways. Not a processed meat sub heavy establishment. Which I love. They put health and nutrition first. Food is very flavorful.

What we ordered:
Read moreIced Vanilla Matcha Latte
Hot Lavender London Fog
Chicksea Sandwich with chips
BLT Burger with chips
Corn Pasta
Was in the area, saw there was a vegan restaurant so we had to go!
The Matcha was very well made, most places don’t make it the way I like, but this place nailed it. 5/5 stars. My husband loves his London Fog, won’t stop talking about it! 5/5 stars.
The BLT burger was a beet burger to my surprise (I didn’t really read it, just saw BLT and immediately made my decision). I usually don’t like beet burgers, but this was very good! The coconut bacon was very interesting, I’ve never had it before- but it was really good! The bun was my favorite part, so buttery and soft! The mayo was amazing! I’m assuming it’s homemade, cuz it tasted way better than “follow your heart”. 4/5 stars.
The Chicksea sandwich was similar to a tuna sandwich which neither my husband nor I have ever had, even when we weren’t vegan. My husband was in the healthy mood, but didn’t have to give up flavor. He liked the chickpea salad, the sauce was really good, and the sprouts were a wonderful addition. He usually doesn’t like tomato, but really liked how the tomato slice paired with the salad. Also, the bread was phenomenal! 4/5 stars.
The corn pasta was okay, it had a unique flavor profile that i wasn’t a fan of, but my husband seemed okay with. We wish they could find a way to take the corn out of the pasta, but keep the cream of the corn, it would bump it up to a 5/5. Also needs more nooch! But as it stands, we give it a 3/5 stars.
The chips seem homemade, they came fresh in their own little bag, semi warm. We give them a 5/5.
The restaurant itself is adorable! It’s very large, with lots of seating options. The staff seem nice😄
We’ll be back when we’re craving something healthy for sure. Really wanting their lobster roll!!
Pros: Completely vegan , Very reasonable prices, Healthy but flavorful
Cons: Corn pasta was a bit of a miss

Good place to wait out traffic. - Edit
So there was a massive accident that forced us to detour and turn around right in front of this building. So, we stopped for lunch instead of sitting in traffic. My pet peeve lately is stems which is the reason for the 4 star instead of 5 star review. If you despise stems or have sensory issues to being poked, remove the stems from the spinach before adding the sauce. I did not mind licking the delectable peanut sauce off my fingers, but I’m not sure how the other folks felt about it.

Best for Juices and Smoothies - Edit
I thoroughly enjoyed their smoothies. The Green Dream was my favorite; the Mango Lassi was very good as well. I didn't care for their food, however. It was very 1970/80s earthy type of vegan food. The flavors were on the bland side, and the dishes lacked heartiness. Overall, I was disappointed in the food. But I would return for fresh juices and smoothies.

Casual, vegan tastiness - Edit
This is my go to lunch spot. Great sandwiches, soups and sweets. Always make sure to check the specials. There is always some sort of soup or main dish to try.
Read moreSeveral breakfast items that are not too large. The Carrot Lox Bagel is a must try.
The Mac-n-Chz is a must as a side. If you are in to juices, they have a great selection of options. Otherwise, they make a really good turmeric ginger chai.

Okay, not great - Edit
I really wanted to love this place as I know there are not many all vegan places in this town, but I was underwhelmed. Went there with 2 omnivores and this didn't help the vegan cause. I had the chicken sandwich which was tasty, the sauce was good, but the patty was cold. My aunt had the Mac and cheese and it looked very dry. My sister had the summer curry and the veggies looked overcooked and she was not impressed. I used the QR code, order from the table feature which was fine. I didn't received one of the beverages I ordered and didn't realize until after the meal was over and asked to have the charge removed and as of the time of this review (2 hours or so later) I haven't seen a credit.

Urban Beets Cafe is pretty atmospheric...as well as delightfully witty regarding the menu!!! So many selections from smoothies to entrees! But the Peach Walnut French Toast is something else! Pretty crusty around the edges, but worth savoring in the middle. A ! 🤤

Waldorf sandwich - Edit
Yummy simple lunch, great atmosphere in the restaurant. Helpful staff. A little disappointed that the sandwich was served with just a handful of ruffle chips and not a more plant-forward side. Waldorf filling on multigrain toast (no tomato, lettuce etc). The filling was delicious!
