Serves meat, vegan options available. Italian restaurant in Krabi Town, serving many vegetarian and vegan dishes. Open Tue-Sun 11:00am-11:00pm.
Closed Mon.
There were no vegan options at Uno and if one escaped me, you would be compromising your palette for the sake of eating here. They don't cater for plantbased people thence the 3 stars. I always eat vegan food when it's on the menu and vegetarian when it's not.
Went here and asked if the spaghetti with tomato sauce was vegan? I was told the ingredients are written on the menu. I then asked about the pasta itself and if it had egg the server said he didn’t know. I said I can’t eat egg he goes “okay,” took my menu and left. He was quite rude. Not sure if the place should be on this app for vegans.
there may not be a ton of options. I had the penne with spicy tomato sauce and I was so freaking good. The portion size is big. And I had a side with black olives that also were AMAZING, you also get a pretty good handful of olives and not just 3 - if you’re an olive lover you know that it matters
give it a try. the waiter was also a very sweet and helpful guy. I chose one chili in my pasta and it was a perfect very mild spice
Staff knew what vegan meant but said all pasta aside from spaghetti and penne had egg (including the gnocchi which another review said was vegan). I wanted to order bread as entree with garlic oil but apparently even the bread has egg. All pizza bases contained egg too so only vegan option was very basic pasta. I wouldn’t go again.
This Italian restaurant had a decent selection of vegetarian options. I had the veg pizza which was good and not too greasy. The staff was friendly. I dont think they have much vegan options.
Was worried initially since Italian restaurants often have 1-2 options (e.g., pasta marinara) that is drenched in oil.
But this place was accommodating and service was great. They had several vegan options, marked and easily recognizable, we had the gnocchi, Arrabiata pasta (delicious, spicy), and a pizza (they offered extra veggies instead of the cheese - never had a restaurant do that before) which was thin crusted, healthy, and perfect. The Thai beer was awesome also, highly recommended. would give 5 stars but happycow doesn't allow.
