Good intentions - better next year? - Edit
Visited Österlen during the summer and managed to nail the right day for the Kivik garden and café to be open.
Read moreThanks to previous reviewer I had prepared for the unusual payment combo of Cash and Swish only (the usual is Card or Swish only).
After finding the door to the house which revealed a little desk with cakes and cookies I entered the small hallway with a smell of damp dog, reminded me of my childhood neighbours.
The desk and the cakes gave me the impression of the local scout club raising money for a trip which is a bit cute. There was a vegan option, I think it was a rawball and brewed coffee. The fika wasn't spectacular but the coffee was good.
I think the coffee and cakes were a bit secondary to the Arts and Crafts garden. Might also have been that the owner quite recently bought the place.
I didn't visit the garden which had an entrance fee, perhaps next time.
Pros: Friendly owner with dog, Garden outdoor seating

A beautiful gem in Österlen Kivik! - Edit
Such a nice surprise it was to discover this beautiful café in Kivik!
Read moreWe went and had a nice Fika (tea and a delicious vegan piece of cake) whilst sitting outside in the sun.
Afterwards we went to visit the beautiful botanical garden, it truly is a magical place.
*! Edit: The garden is open during July every day of the week and all other months just during the weekend.
If you're ever looking for something great to do on a sunny day, I can highly recommend visiting Ulriksdals Trädgård and having a Fika in the café!
The botanical garden has an entrance fee, but you can visit the café separately if you would like. Although I do recommend taking a walk through the garden, you will not regret it!
*One note; you cannot pay by card, so make sure to have either cash or the swedish Swish app.
