It is so worth coming here from Palolem Beach, because the food is ridiculously cheap and the food is so good! I´ve eaten lots of Indian food in my life and lots of masala dosas, but somehow the masala dosas here were fantastic! We sometimes asked some extra masala, so we could eat more of that great potato filling. I love the coconut chutney and rasam too. Masala dosa costs about 40 rupiahs or less.
I also had thali, but then you will receive some non-vegan curd as well in one of the small bowls you receive. And sure like in many Indian vegetarian restaurants, you can´t be really sure that no milk products are used.
They also have lovely puri bhajis, those lovely fluffy puri breads with bhaji, which was actually same lentil sauce that comes with the thali. I also tried onion uttapam, whicha great too and off course comes with coconut chutney and sambhar.
You need to drive or walk here a couple of kilometres or more from Palolem towards Chaudi. You will pass the intersection to Agonda and just continue. At the next intersection Udupi will be on your left (same direction as the petrol station a few kilometres from there). Or come by tuk tuk.
Udupi is not a comfortable restaurant at all, so you just want to eat (food comes very quickly) and leave asap. You can wash your hand by the sink outside. Remember to bring you hand desinfectant as you will be eating with your fingers.

Pros: Food tastes so good, So cheap
Cons: Nothing fresh (and don´t eat any raw veggies here), Not a nice restaurant to hang around, full & busy, Tourists don´t know about this
