Tasty food, a great overall experience. I highly recommend the Coconut Soup (for a tapas) which is really delicious. Pagoda Bowl was also pleasant.

Read moreEigentlich ein sehr schönes, sehr geräumiges Restaurant. Die Vorspeisen konnten uns noch überzeugen: Wan Tan Suppe (lecker, aber zu heiss serviert) und die „Hähnchenflügel“ (knusprig, „fleischig“, gute Soße).
Sehr im Trend liegt im Moment offensichtlich„Veganes Sushi“; auch hier dominiert es die Karte. Wir hatten hingegen zwei Bowls, die mit den Vorspeisen gebracht wurden (mag ich überhaupt nicht), und die so gut wie nach nichts schmeckten, ausgesprochen neutral. Das berüchtigte Thai-Basilikum hatte ich zur Seite gelegt.
Insgesamt wenig überzeugend; das geht besser und das gibt es auch besser.

Better read this before you try Udum - Edit
Been twice to Udum Restaurant. Nice atmosphere. I like that it’s 100% vegan and quite fancy for vegan restaurant standards. Food looks very good. Not so the taste of some dishes I tried - their taste defintely needs to be improved to justify a four to five star rating. We didn’t feel good the next morning (both times!). My friend had to through out during the night for a few times. So kitchen’s hygenic standards need to be checked! More space between tables necessary! Conclusion: Rather a place for insta bloggers than for foodies.

War zwei Mal bei Udum. Das Restaurant ist gemütlich und relativ hochwertig eingerichtet und hebt sich damit schon mal von den meisten rein veganen Restaurants in Köln ab, was allerdings auch nicht schwer ist.
Die Gerichte sehen ziemlich gut aus. Man darf dank der guten Optik allerdings kein besonderes Geschmackserlebnis erwarten. Manche Gerichte schmecken allerdings auch fast genauso gut wie sie aussehen. Andere hingegen schmecken normal bis fad und sorgen dank der super Optik für eine umso größere Enttäuschung. Hier stimmen P/L definitiv nicht, es sei denn, Optik ist einem wichtiger als Geschmack. Ich mag es jedenfalls lieber gesund und lecker als schön und fad oder sogar ungesund.
Nach beiden Besuchen hatte ich am nächsten Morgen Magenprobleme. Meine Begleitung musste sich nach dem letzten Besuch sogar mehrmals in der Nacht übergeben. Da mein Magen auf veganes, gesund und sauber zubereitetes Essen immer gut reagiert, kann es nur Hygiene-Gründe geben, die hierzu geführt haben.
Noch was zu den Tischen: Diese stehen (auch für pandemiefreie Zeiten) viel zu nah beieinander, offensichtlich um jeden Quadratzentimeter zu monetarisieren. Hat man an den Nebentischen nicht Menschen sitzen, die man gern kennenlernen würde, kann dies die Stimmung beeinträchtigen.

Die guten Bewertungen hier auf Happy Cow kommen aus meiner Sicht aufgrund der geringen Auswahl guter veganer Restaurants zustande. 100% vegan, gesund, lecker + gutes Ambiente ist unter den rein veganen Kölner Restaurants nach wie vor halt leider nur schwer zu finden.. aber immerhin tut sich was und dazu trägt Udum sicherlich bei.
Fazit: Ein gutes Restaurant für Insta-Blogger, aber nicht für Feinschmecker und auch nicht für jeden, der was auf seine Gesundheit hält.

Die Auswahl ist sehr vielfältig. Bisher haben mich alle Gerichte geschmacklich überzeugt und auch die hausgemachten Getränke sind zu empfehlen. Die Gerichte werden zudem auch nett angerichtet.

Amazing vegan place. Super tasty food, nice atmosphere and service . Highly recommended to ask for tapas, they have so many options from soups to rolls, gyosas , kimchi and desserts. If you come to Koln it is a place to have lunch or dinner! I am definitely come back!!!

This restaurant has quickly become my favorite place to eat at whenever I'm in Cologne. Starting from the interior design the place already looks really cool and the food is so so good I always struggle to pick what to eat! I've tried their Pho and Sushi so far as well as a bunch of their homemade drinks and starters (the tofu sticks with raspberry sauce are my obsession) and everything has been amazing. The food is a bit pricey but it's definitely worth it. At the moment they only take cash so be aware of that!

They have a huge all vegan menu.
I tried a big bowl with tofu in seeds and udon noodles. The portion was ok for not so hungry people. The taste was not mine.
But I will give another try!
Came a second time and had three small plates: sommer rolls, gyoza filled with spinach and a sushi roll. All great and tasty an beautiful decorated.
A friend of mine took a bowl, but that was not worth the money because the main ingredient is rice.
So take small different plates and you will be happy!

Very stylish restaurant with a very large, exclusively vegan selection. There is sushi, but also some appetizers and bowls. Food and drinks are served with great attention to detail and very artfully.
