A great vegan surprise in Sudbury.

Amazing food. I got a giant plate of nachos, my friends got a mac n cheese burrito and crunchy quesadillas. Absolutely fantastic, tasty food. An issue I had though was that the seating was not great. I wish they had regular chairs and not the pull-out legless stools they have. It was very uncomfortable to the point where I had to get off a couple times while eating. Unfortunately I’m not sure they will be able to change that since they’re connected to the tables.

Pros: Fantastic food. , Unique menu. , Good parking.

Cons: Uncomfortable seating.

Phenomenal

Wonderful patio with a fun summer vibe. Great music, and food was amazing! They have a mac and cheese plate with fruit for kids, too.

Pros: Completely vegan

Amazing food!! Great beer!!

I am still in shock that this restaurant is all vegan!
I was blown away by the flavours in the dishes. We ordered tacos #7 tempura Tempe, side of chilli with chips, quesadillas and nachos. All had distinct flavour, huge servings and hot upon arrival.
The atmosphere was relaxed but a little cold temperature wise.
The service was friendly and accommodating when asked to split up bills.
Fine selection of craft beers.
Overall, a great spot to visit whether you are meat eater or vegetarian. My meat eating friend was very happy with the selection.

Pros: All vegan, Good sized servings , Reasonably priced

Cons: Seats uncomfortable

Cute spot

Stopped in here to grab some take out on our journey back from Manitoulin to Toronto. Cute little spot with wide selection. Ordered assortments of tacos, mac and cheese and chilli. All were quite delicious. Mac was a little bland but still enjoyable. Service was a bit slow for take out but I would say it was worth the wait.

Amazing!

We are so glad we stopped at this little gem, it was sooo good! We had the seitan refried beans burrito and they were both delicious! I’m sure the entire menu is delicious, the tortillas were so fresh and tasty. Yummm.

Who knew

We didn’t expect to find very many vegan options in Sudbury so finding three shops all within a 100 metres of each other was awesome. The burritos here are really good. House-made seitan, cashew cream and really good Mac and cheese.

LOVE everything about this place.

The atmosphere. The service. The style. Most importantly, the food. The tortillas are hand-made. The tacos were huge. Plenty of hot sauces to try - some local which were new to me and phenomenal. I can't recommend this place enough as I personally cannot wait to go back.

Amazing!

The food was wonderful! We had the "good" and the "ugly" burritos! Very family friendly- I went in with three small children and the staff was so helpful and didn't seem to mind when my kids were being little monkeys. Cant wait to go back!

Cons: Very reasonable!

Awesome!

Best vegan nachos around! We live in Thunder Bay and stop in Sudbury to eat at Tucos every trip we make to Southern Ontario! Highly recommended.

Pros: Great vibe., Best nachos

Cons: Use of soy and gluten based veggie meats, Could offer more fresh whole food options.

Fashionably late

The Tacos here are fantastic! Every one unique. Crispy, crunchy, saucey, mowing down. Service was slow but they gave a discount, which makes up for most of the trouble. Lots of great drinks too, soda and beer. Totally would come back but I was passing through.

Pros: delicious

Cons: late

WOW

I ordered this from takeout taxi to my hotel and was skeptical because I thought it would've been cold and not tasty by arrival. Was I ever wrong! These were hands down the best tacos I ever had! I'm going back here again before I leave!

Yummy!!!

Went there for supper yesterday. We were 4 adults and two young children. The staff was awesome. When our grandson said the mac and cheese was too spicy, the staff was willing to accommodate. The food was amazing!!! The service was extraordinary!! So glad to have found this ittle gem in Sudbury. Will definitely be back. The only thing that would make it better would be if they had a better and more comfortable interior. We are on the patio and it was great but the inside feels like a cafeteria.

Pros: the service, the food

Cons: the cafeteria look inside

The Only (Vegan) Place in Town

I am a vegan who just moved to Sudbury and an onminvore I met said, "I had to eat here because everything is soooo good."
You walk in and it's all very cool; all long tables, metal stools, an indoor take out window, and an awesome patio (hello margaritas in the summer). I they told me it's a converted KFC, which made me laugh... KFC to all vegan. Buritots, nachos, mac and cheese all had great flavour. Huge portions. Wide assortment of hot sauces. Jackfruit pulled pork- I've had better but perhaps the fruit they made it with wasn't the best. I'll be coming back again and again. All items are really high in fat but well worth it to have people around here support vegan resturants. Owner's wife owns Beards across the street, the all vegan bakery. Go get dessert after.

Pros: All Vegan, Large Servings, Atmosphere, Patio,, Good Coffee, Beer/Wine/Mixed Drinks

Cons: Food is Oily

Magnifico!

I was glad to discover that Sudbury had a vegan restraunt, and that it was a mere 12 minutes from my hotel. The burritos I ordered were huge and massively tasty! Everything else from the Bill Murray painting on the wall, to the Sergio Leone homage decor and menu, to the cheerful wait staff were equally excellent. I left with that rare "clean food taste" in my mouth and stomach. Would definitely return and reccomend!

Pros: Lots of excellent Mexican vegan options, Reasonably priced vegan fare, Comfy and cozy atmosphere

Lovely Finding in the Nickel Capital

We were not yet vegetarians when we last visited the Nickel City, but it would not be a surprise if there was nothing pure veggie/vegan in the area. I was not even serious when I pulled out HappyCow on our way back to Hamilton from Sault Ste. Marie, but viola, a vegan taco lounge in Sudbury! We had the CHILI VAN CLEEF, the EL TARANTINO PHISH TACO, the THE GOOD MAC 'N CHEESE BURRITO, and KALE CESAR CHAVEZ SALAD - the boys would want to try more items if they were not totally stuffed! The down side was that we could hardly keep ourselves awake while on the highway after the dinner :-) ... They are open till 9 pm on Sundays, at least while we were there in late Sept. - posting a pic of their hours.

Amazing vegan food

This place is amazing! The food is delicious, the stuff are all down to earth, and the place radiates with positive vibes and a chillax ambiance. Their patio is also incredibly beautiful. My favourite restaurant, I always find myself going back and always leaving satisfied.

Incredible Food and Incredible Place

Traveling across Ontario and stopped in. I left wishing they moved to my home town. Incredible tacos, great atmosphere (wish I spent the night in Sudbury as I would love to visit it as a late night bar). Really friendly waitstaff who offered advice and were attentive. Only thing I wish was they let you mix and match tacos or offered a sample plate.

Pros: Great tacos, Friendly staff, Cool layout

Cons: No mixing of tacos on a plate, too far from NYC

I had to pinch myself

I'm thrilled that a restaurant of this caliber, especially a 100% vegan restaurant, is now a reality in Sudbury.

I grew up in Sudbury and although I haven't lived there in just under a decade I do go back to visit. A friend brought me here (thank you Jessica!) over the holidays and I was more than impressed.

To echo the other reviewers: the atmosphere is indeed pretty special. Care was taken with the decor inside and out and it just felt right. The service was not 100% solid that night but it was fairly busy and the staff were very upfront that they were still figuring things out, having only been open a couple weeks when I visited.

Expect cafe-style ordering, delicious tacos (that's all we tried), and a nice beer selection as well!

I would highly recommend bringing a friend (or a large appetite) and trying all the tacos, but if I had to pick only a couple I'd recommend the jackfruit and "phish" tacos (1 and 4 as of this writing). Of course that's only a suggestion, there's much more than tacos on the menu and I would love to go for breakfast/brunch to try some of those dishes. I suspect (and hope) that the taco selection and menu in general will evolve over time.

I was happy to see the place was busy on a Tuesday evening and I only hope that continues because I won't be around much to patronize Tucos. This place doesn't scream "vegan!" and I think that was a smart decision. It's great food period, and hopefully flying under the radar a bit encourages omnivores to try them out despite what they may perceive as a lack of meat or dairy.

To cut this novel short, I know I plan to visit Tucos whenever I'm in Sudbury, and I'm excited to try more of the menu! I can foresee an amazing patio popping up here in the summertime.

PS. If you're into records (vinyl) at all, check out Cosmic Dave's Vinyl Emporium across the street, it's a great place and the owner also co-owns Tucos!

Pros: great casual atmosphere, variety, friendly staff
