Lots of peanuts - Edit
If you got a peanut allergy this is not the place. Tasty food but peanuts in everything except for one ramen which they can't guarantee are free from peanuts. As a peanut allergic like me the 20min line wasn't worth the wait but my girlfriend thought it was. Otherwise a nice place in the Tokyo station. Decent pricing as well

Flavour is amazing! Unfortunately you must be within the JR Line gates (need a train ticket…) to get to this place on level 1 of Tokyo station.

You can’t go wrong with T’s Tantan - Edit
Excellent little plant-based ramen restaurant in Tokyo Station. I guess most vegetarians and vegans that visit Tokyo drop by here, and for good reason. The Golden Sesame Tan Tan ramen bowl is my favorite pick.

best vegan ramen in tokyo - Edit
This is a great place to stop by if you're passing through Tokyo station. You'll need a ticket otherwise to gain entry. My wife who is Japanese and not vegan even loved her noodles here! Although the menu has been pared down recently it's still worth a visit.

Vegan Ramen in Japan - Edit
I went on a trip to Japan in 2018 (just now got a HappyCow account) and this was 1 of 2 vegan ramen places I was able to try and this was my favorite.
Read moreLooks like the menu changed a bit, but I believe I had either the golden or white sesame ramen set meal with soy meat side. It was good! and creamy, which I'd actually never experienced before. Later I found out what tan tan actually was, haha.
I would say definitely go try it. They also have cup noodle versions to buy, and I 100% recommend getting some because I super regretted not having a few to take back home with me after missing Tokyo coming back home.
I was a little intimidated finding this location, as it's located within the JR station, but there were helpful people on some of the google reviews that mentioned the exact space you needed to go, and the train station staff was actually really really sweet and helped us make sure we were going the right way. Just ask. Or point to a phone, someone will help.
Pros: Fully vegan, English menus
Cons: May be hard to locate

Convenient, fast lunch in Tokyo Station - Edit
Consistently good and warming. Nice fast, tasty and warming meal you can grab when passing through Tokyo Station. I can't count how many times I've been here over the years but it's reliably nice. Also meat eater friends usually have enjoyed it when they visited with me too.

They seem to have lost their spark. - Edit
2023 review:
Read moreAfter coming here for almost a decade is sad to see the lost their spark. They have gotten rid of at least 50-60% of their menu + drinks menu, and have modified their current ramen bowls. The black sesame tantan is now very spicy and not very enjoyable. Their prices have also gone up from around 800 to 1200 for a ramen bowl. I almost wanna say that enjoy their tantan cup noodle more than I enjoy any of their current ramen bowls here.
Gyozas are still very delicious tho!
2021 review:
I had not been to this shop in a couple of years, but I have been coming here since 2015. I am happy it is still thriving. They did change the menu tho, menu consists of lesser items than it used to, and some of the tantan bowls have been tweaked a little. Spice level has either been brought up or down,
I love how they have a 100 Y discount on Mondays and how they have half price on gyozas on the weekends. I ordered a konjaku noodles set this time around and it was very filling and delicious.
The restaurant is still spacious and bright, and staff are as always extremely nice. You always leave Ts tantan very satisfied.

Amazing ramen (lemony and full of flavour) and very fresh gyoza. It was so nice to be at a vegan place and be able to order anything off the menu without having to try and translate.

Delicious - Edit
We ate here twice and thoroughly enjoyed our meals. The ramen, gyoza and charsiu were all delicious. The charsiu was some of the best mock meat we've ever had. Staff were very friendly. Added bonus is we bought some of their instant ramen to take on our travels and it was very tasty for an instant ramen. Highly recommend.

Simple Ramen - Edit
I enjoyed my meal here but this was a really overhyped bowl of noodles. I hope they regain their pre-Covid popularity and I would still visit regardless as it really is great having the rare comfort of a vegetarian meal in Tokyo.
Read morePersonally I thought the noodles were very simple. Tasty broth but quite a generic taste like when I cook with miso at home. The main disappointment was that there were so few toppings, especially given it’s been hard to find a variety of vegetarian food here so the protein and veg has been limited. I would top up for extra toppings, though note it will end up pricey!
The soy dessert was yummy as were the char siu and gyoza!
Pros: All vegan menu, Yummy but simple food, Delicious sides and dessert
Cons: Only drink is beer, Expensive if you top up ingredients , Would love more protein and veg on the ramen

SO good - Edit
I had the most popular Golden Sesame Tantan Ramen and it was so delicious. This place is super hyped up but it still surpassed my expectations. The plating was beautiful, the broth was so tasty. I would definitely go back and am looking forward to trying their other flavours! The cup ramen they sell is also really delicious.

Good place to start a Japan trip - Edit
I arrived in Tokyo Station and was really hungry. Thanks to the description here on this side, I was able to quickly find T‘s Tantan. The staff was very kind and could speak English.😊
Read moreWhen you enter it already smells a lot like peanut. If you’re highly allergic, maybe you shouldn’t come. I have a slight peanut allergie and all possible allergens are listed in the menu and also the staff was very considerate.
I ordered the only peanut free Ramen, the Japanase Yuzu Ramen and the Chari-su soymeat with rice as a side dish.
The ramen was really good, very fresh and a good portion. The soymeat was my highlight.
I recommend going there 😊
Pros: Great food, Kind staff, Nice place

T'S Tantan tokyo station - Edit
Delicious vegan ramen. We got the golden sesame ramen. The noodles were plentiful. And delicious with the toppings, especially the smooth peanut butter. The noodles are bland compared to other noodles but the ramen broth makes up for the noodles. You can also choose it to come with in a set. With gyozas, or rice and tofu steak, or just rice. Not the biggest menu but it is a ramen resturant so. Service was fast. We arrived and were seated quickly, however when we left there was a line outside. So be prepared to wait. It is also inside the station after you tag in to catch a train. We couldn't find it the first day as we didn't know you had to go in, we just happened upon it on one of our train trips. #Veganuary

Limited menu? - Edit
I always hit up T’s Tan Tan while in Tokyo. I feel like I randomly stumbled upon it while took the Keiyo line to Disney years ago. This recent visit (Dec 2022), I was disappointed to see a limited menu - maybe due to Covid? I also feel like the food quality has went down, the broth was too salty and the noodles don’t really hold onto the flavor. However, their char siu soy meat was absolutely delicious! I wish they gave a bigger portion of the meat though.

Delicious ramen - Edit
The ramen here is great. I tried the golden sesame ramen and it reminded me a bit of the Taiwanese style sesame noodles. Delicious! Took them with the alternative noodles which were ofc not the real deal but still good. Gyoza were nice too.

Christmas Tantan Ramen - a perfect holiday meal - Edit
T’s is regular stop for many vegans passing through Tokyo Station and it is a well deserved honor. This place is excellent. Tourists and regulars are welcomed, but watch as some patrons get to business quick in order to catch a quickly arriving train. T’s is serving a few select dishes perfectly and in high volumes. Tables turn over quick so don’t mind the line out the front, or come at opening when tables are plentiful. Staff are very friendly, but English is limited. Menu is also in English. Ramen mostly includes soy meat and peanuts. Be mindful is you have allergies. Most recent visit on Christmas and enjoyed the Sweet and Sour Ramen Holiday Set. 👍 👍 Great way to start a new year! #Veganuary

We had to wait for about 15 minutes in a queue to get in for late-ish dinner. But well worth the wait. Had recommended ramen with three toppings, gyoza and beer. All absolutely gorgeous. Seriously recommended.

10/10 recommend - Edit
It was challenging the find the place since we came by subway, but it was worth the trek around the train station. You must be ticketed to access the restaurant. I got the golden sesame and it was absolutely amazing. Wish I could find something just like it R home. The gyoza were extremely flavorful. 3 gyoza and a ramen… perfect fuel for walking around the city. Very friendly service. Wasn’t too busy on a Sunday.

Tasty noodles - Edit
Noodle soups in sesame and yuzu flavours. A bit challenging to find. Beyond the JR barriers so need a ticket to enter that part of the station. From the Tokaido-Sanyo Shinkansen ticket office, follow sign towards Keiyo line. Walk past Uniqlo on your right and it’s a couple of stores along.
