OK place for lunch!

A small restaurant offering lots of vegan options. I had the tagliatelle pasta and my partner had miso soup. He was a bit disappointed in his miso soup, a LOT of pretty much just celery in it. My pasta was 8/10, good! Ice tea was just water with cinnamon and lime, not very good and not sweet at all. Staff was very friendly, our waiting time for food was about 20 min, not as long as some people seem to have experienced.

Delicious

The tofu steak, the soup and the açai bowl were all great. You need to be a bit patient because they prepare everything from scratch, but it's worth it.
Note that their homemade ice tea isn't sweet.

Pros: Very delicious and healthy vegan mains, Nice location

Cons: You need to be patient, Vegan labeling could be improved on menu

Delicious food

Single person ordering a main, arrived in 30 mins.
I had the marinated tofu steak dish and it was delicious. The flavours were intense, couldve done with something to balance it a little bit but overall fantastic.

Pros: Mostly vegan - 2 items vegetarian, Good portion size on main, Nice atmosphere

Cons: Wish I had ordered twice to fulfill my gluttony

Truly incredible and healthy food in Faro, Portugal

True vegan food in the heart of Faro!

Food ****
So many delicious options but we settled on the vegan ravioli and tofu stir fry. We also got cappuccino and the vegan Baileys because have you ever even heard of vegan baileys?! Well everything was amazing: the ravioli is actually zucchini pieces wrapped into a ravioli shape that encompasses tofu and mushrooms so good, stir fry also great. Cappuccino was amazing. And the BAILEYS! You have to try. Tastes exactly like it and comes with a lemon in it which for the life of us we couldn’t figure out why!

Atmosphere ****
Inside and outside options, cute alleyway, quiet and quant.

Service ****
Waitress was very nice, free tap water too and quick service.
Price $$
About 10-13 euro per entree

Pros: Healthy as can be

Mixed feelings

I am so grateful to have a place in Faro that has a lot of vegan options! I will be back to try other dishes. First visit was MEH. I had the vegan kabob. The sauce was great but the tofu wasn’t grilled (as was told). The sweet potato fries that come with it were undercooked and barely warm. I dipped them in the sauce and made them edible.
My friend had the stroganoff and it was good. Strong coconut flavor, which I like.
Service was basic at best. (Maybe she was having a bad day?) Other reviews talked about wait time. It took 35 min to get our food which I feel is reasonable.

Plate presentation was nice.

Tasty food

Was a bit worried after reading the reviews but the food was actually very tasty and there were a lot of vegan options. I had the tofu salteado and my friend had pizza and we both enjoyed it and felt full

Pros: Lots of vegan options

Long waiting times

We waited 65 minutes for our starters and 80 minutes for our main course.. the waitress told us that it was going to take a while but didn’t mention that we would have to wait for an hour and a half. The Burger my boyfriend had to order because the homemade tagliatelle would’ve taken another 30 minutes, ordered missed a few ingredients and wasn’t too flavourful (bean patty, cold sweet potato fries). I ordered the vegan ravioli which ended up being zucchini instead of dough - the flavour was okay, the sauce was intense. The starter was very small and not worth the price, but the sauce was delicious! Sadly only two stars because of the long waiting time for something that definitely doesn’t take that long .. and all of the other 10 customers had to wait for 90 minutes as well!

Pros: Many vegan options, Freshly cooked

Cons: Expensive for Portugal, Long waiting time

Slow and unimpressive

We waited 30 mins for drinks and almost an hour for our food. We were the only people in the restaurant when we ordered. When the food came and was a little cold and totally unflavoured. Really disappointed, especially as this is quite an expensive restaurant for Faro. It’s the closest I’ve ever come to returning the food and not paying. We actually went somewhere else afterwards to eat.

The only saving grace was the waitress who was friendly, but obviously struggling a bit and the spicy sauce which was surprisingly good.

The menu and location has a lot of potential, I hope they can use this feedback to improve.

Great dish and super nice waitress

I didn't read the reviews of the place before going there and I am glad I didn't., since it doesn't reflect my experience. I loved the mushroom meatballs on zucchini pasta, it was amazing. Spoiler alert: The meatballs taste a bit like gingerbread, surprisingly good! The vegan cheesecake and the vegan mousse au chocolat were great as well. We had a nice conversation with the waitress who was the cook's niece. The cook is not vegan but she is much into health and also tries to make most of her dishes vegan. The vegan ravioli were not as good but still good in my opinion.

Pros: Taste, Staff

It takes a lot to get better :(

Nice place, food was really tasty, but super small portion, so after a soup and the main course we left hungry. Service was friendly, however slow, chaotic and didn't speak English well, so when I wanted to change one ingredient, I got it anyway...

Pros: Really nice taste and interesting combinations, Nice place and friendly atmosphere

Cons: Small portions, Service doesn't speak English very well

Not tasty

Several vegan, many vegetarian options and one dish that contains meat 😩 The chef is not vegan nor vegetarian which probably explains the quality of food. Everything we ordered (tried the vegan dishes only) was very bland and the design of the dishes was really random. The staff was friendly, but the food was far from great.

Not good ...

This is my first negative comment I write. I hate to do this but I wish somebody had told me before. The food is a disaster. I had the zucchini noodles with the nut-balls. The presentation of the plate was already devastating. The raw zucchini noodles weren’t even cut in noodles. So it was just raw zucchini pieces. The sauce was kinda raw too and the balls also. The only good thing was the waiter who was really nice but also really inexperienced. I after heard that neither cook or owner are vegan or vegetarian and it shows.
Not a good place to go. We also had a lime cheesecake. I better don’t comment on that one.

Cons: not good food. , Inexperienced waiters.

Beautiful and very tasty food

True food is a small but very friendly place with mostly vegan options, and some vegetarian also. All foods are gluten and lactose free, and almost everything is homemade, including their ice tea, alfarroba bread and desserts.
The lady who served us is very friendly and the meals have really good presentation.

We had the tofu stir fry (tofu salteado), which was recommended and is absolutely incredible! The taste is truly divine!!! The other dish was ‘meatballs’ with zucchini spaghetti and walnuts, it was not as amazing in flavour, but we also liked it.

However, they use a bit of ghee in their dishes (I was told by the lady). I was a bit upset because ghee is clarified butter from milk (without lactose). Not vegan.
So, please ask not to add ghee!

Pros: Homemade and healthy food, Mostly vegan

Cons: They use ghee (clarified butter from cows) , Not made for big groups of people

I love this place! Especially the way they mix spiecies!

We had vegetable soup, vegan&gluten free ravioli and tufu-fry with vegetables. The way the chef mixes the spices and the dried fruits makes the dishes very tasty! They also serve alcaline water (plastic free😄) and the balsamic vinegar is organic (made in Italy).

Enjoyed our meal

We accidentally found this restaurant when we were walking by. We had the vegan ravioli, it wasn't what we were expecting but we enjoyed it. It was a light meal but that's what we wanted. We will likely be back.

Pros: A variety of vegan dishes., Can have an early dinner.

Cons: Cash only which isn't a problem for me., Not sure which days they are open and closed.

Okay but not great

Had the vegan ravioli, and even though it was tasty, it wasn’t really ravioli. It was also pretty expensive for a fairly simple dish. Had to wait a long time to order and to get the food
