Delicious meal, lovely staff, reasonably priced

Lovely little restaurant not far from marina. Had the Tarka Dhal, pilau rice and roti. Staff friendly, seemed very knowledgeable about vegan food, nice atmosphere.

Pros: Food, Atmosphere , Location

Lovely restaurant

I arrived late in Faro on a Saturday night and by 2pm on the Sunday I still hadn't eaten anything so came here and was not disappointed. I had a curry with roti and rice. It was all really tasty and filling plus pretty cheap!

Lovely Indian food

Namastey is a great choice if you love tasty & authentic Indian food. There are separate sections of the menu listing vegetarian and vegan mains, with the former including items with paneer, cream & other dairy products and the latter being 100% cruelty free. Vegetarians can choose from a total of about a dozen dishes, with vegans having around half a dozen to pick from - so lots of options either way! All the rice is vegan too, as is the tandoori roti. We had aloo gobi & tadka dal, both of which were really good. Service is friendly & efficient. Prices are good too with all mains under €10. Half a litre of beer is just €2.50. Great value!

Decent Indian food

Vegan section on the menu.

Crispy spinach (Palak Chaat) was unusual but tasty. Mains were ok. Service excellent.

Great Meal

We had a lovely dinner at Namastey ! The staff were very friendly and the meal was very nice. It was quite busy so we had to wait quite a bit to order, to get the food and to pay but it was all worth the wait (: There was also a whole section for vegan options so it’s plenty to choose from.

Pros: Great Food , Lots of Vegan Options , Lovely Staff

Cons: Slow Service, Long wait time for food

Absolutely loved my Dal here! Super tasty and staff is knowledgeable about vegan diet - the whole vegan section on the menu. The prices are acceptable and the portions are good.

Very friendly and nice food

We hadn't booked and Sunday night was very busy but they managed to fit us in. One member of staff very helpful and patient. There was a delay bringing our drinks and food but we got chatting to the couple beside us and the time passed. Really enjoyed our food when it came.

Yummy and fresh but portions are small

What’s great about Namastey is they have a clearly designated portion of the menu for vegan items and it’s not limited! We ordered vegetable pakora, samosas, a lentil dal, potato cauliflower curry, cumin rice, and naan. The flavors of the pakora were great but they only have three and they were small too. The samosas were even better than the pakora and we enjoyed it so much that we ordered a second round. The samosas are small as well and only came two per order. The samosas only have potato inside of them. The dal and curry were very tasty and asked with flavor. They didn’t automatically come with rice and naan so we had to order those. Once again we wished the portions were bigger because we devoured the food quickly. We had to wait longer than average for the curries even though they weren’t super busy. Overall, a pretty solid place for vegan Indian food in Faro!

Pros: Takes card, Designated menu spot for vegan items , Very tasty and a good amount of options

Cons: Portions are small, Slow for food to arrive at table, You have to pay for water

Authentic Indian food in (Faro) Portugal!

This place has several vegetarian options and each one is tasty! I’ll make this a regular spot for me.
I could stand for the dishes to be a bit spicier but they have lots of flavor and are amazing.

Pros: Several vegetarian options, Reasonable prices

Authentic Indian cuisine

Small restaurant, close to the harbor of Faro. For real the best Indian food in all the Algarve. We landed there, desperately at more or less 1pm and everything else was closed. Ate there twice during our stay.
We will definitely come and eat at Namastey again.

Pros: Delicious Food, Waiters speak good English

Cons: Atmosphere is more Italian than Indian
