Serves meat, vegan options available. A live music venue, bar & restaurant has clearly labeled vegan choices, including the desserts, some second meals and Sunday brunch. Reported closed July 2022.
Startes so nice with a tasty dry Cidre.. then biting into a meat Burger, no excuse, nothing. Waiting for antother Drink, Never arrived, only the bill After Long waiting. Nice Bar, Perfect barman, But the Rest 😥
It looks nice, the waiter gave us a table and menu, a waitress was there but despite having 3 tables waiting for her she did not approach any, half an hour later the tables and ourselves went to directly order at the counter, but they only took the drinks order, which we brung to the table, we reminded them we wanted to eat. The waitress then started taking orders of the tables before us when a large group with no reservation came in, one hour passed while we really tried to make visual contact and puppy eyes to her, but she wouldn't even look at us. At the end she took the order of the large group but ignored us. So at that point we had had it, we paid at the counter and left, no explanations were given nor apologies.
We felt that tourism is not very welcomed in Riga, at least if it is not russian.
Nice, if you are with company of meat eaters - Edit
Nice atmosphere. A couple of vegan options (and some more vegetarian ones). Not serving veal or duck/goose liver products (oct 2019). They do serve huge portions of meat (like huge steaks or a big load of spare ribs).
For starters I had the bruchettas with hummus, which was quite good. For main, I had the baked aubergine, which was topped with a decent hummus and quite some veggies.
Quite good overall.
Reservations recommended, especially with groups. Quite crowded place, where live music starts at 9 pm.
Staff is friendly and their english is very good.
Not many vegan options but worth the detour! - Edit
There were "only" 4 vegan dishes when I went with my partner, but the ones we ordered (hummus platter, baked eggplant and spaghetti Pomodoro) were really nice! The staff was very helpful and super friendly. The atmosphere is cosy, warm and relaxing. I recommend going (even if it's just for a drink and a snack).
There are some great veg options! This is a great place for jazzy people and just someone who loves autenthic places. This restaurant has a beautiful unique style and interior. Sometimes they have live players. Great food and great music.
There are still places where they offer vegans green salad as main course. Trompet seems this kind of place. It seems that they really think that vegans don't need carbohydrates. Everything else (atmosphere and service) was wonderful.
The Trompete is a nice restaurant with one vegan main dish. But that's really good. Friendly staff, good service. It's recommended to make a reservation, especially on the weekend.

Not so hot. - Edit
We had the Portobello burger. It tasted rather boring and didn't convince us. The atmosphere is nice!
