Breakfast Was Good, But Wanted More!

There is one vegan-as is breakfast item, the wild mushroom scramble (more like an omelette), but according to my server, the fruit plate, avocado toast, and waffles could all be modified as well. The Scramble was good, filled with veggies, and came with potatoes and an impossible sausage. When everyone else got the pastry basket to start I was brought a small basket of vegan cookies (enjoy life). Everything was good but I just wanted MORE food especially for the price! The character experience though is priceless, probably the best on property in my opinion.

Pros: Labeled vegan options , Modifiable vegan options, Characters!

Cons: Super expensive! , Smaller portions

Great plant based options for each course

Topolino has been one of my favorite restaurants on property for some time. This is the first time I’ve tried this season’s plant based options. They were delicious and filling. The ratatouille fritters were great by themselves but the pipérade sauce takes it to the next level. A word of warning that the while you get enough that you could eat it with a spoon I found it a bit too strong a flavor for that so used it more like a dipping sauce. The roasted cauliflower steak was even more delicious. I like protein heavier main dishes and this gets a long way there not with the star of the dish but with the side, which is essentially a farro and fava bean risotto. Their plant based Fruits of the Forest dessert (picture from a previous visit) is a light and bright way to end the evening but I was too stuffed for it. I also tried their zero proof gin cocktail, a Bee’s Knees made from zero proof gin, which was a tasty way to do a kick off the cocktail without the alcohol.

Such a fun breakfast

In my opinion, this is the best character breakfast in wdw. Reservations can be tricky but worth the effort. The food was good but the price you’re paying is definitely more for the characters and experience. I had a vegan omelette that came with some breakfast potatoes and a vegan sausage. They do also have vegan waffles available too. The coffee was also wonderful with non dairy milk on hand. It is expensive but a fun splurge.

Pros: Amazing character interaction , Beautiful hotel and views , Easy to order vegan options

Cons: Hard to get a reservation , Expensive meal

Fun character breakfast

Topolino's Terrace for breakfast was really fun, they have a few of the characters (Mickey, Minnie, Donald & Daisy) walk around and interact with the tables. Unfortunately it was really cold the morning that we went so the terrace was closed, but it's normally open & you can go outside to check out the view. I had the Wild Mushroom Scramble. It was good, not amazing & I preferred the breakfast I had from Ale & Compass, but the sausage and potatoes here were really great. This is a breakfast option I would recommend mostly for the character aspect, you can find a better vegan breakfast at other restaurants.

The concept of the restaurant is also really cool, it is a French/Italian restaurant inspired by Beauty & the Beast. The large gold light fixtures are meant to be the bottom of Belle's gold gown. I would be interested in coming back for dinner to check out the menu!
