The ramen was absolutely delicious! I had the spicy tofu ramen, and I can highly recommend it. It was perfectly spicy and incredibly tasty!

A middling bowl of ramen - Edit
I had been waiting to try Tonkotsu for a little while now, and honestly I was disappointed as the ramen was a little lacklustre. It’s as the other reviews have said, it’s just a bit bland. I also got the chilli tofu ramen, and there was no spice at all. To it’s credit, the staff were really lovely and service was fast. It is a cute little spot.

Ramen that's just...fine - Edit
Menu had two vegan options; a mushroom miso ramen and a crispy chilli tofu ramen. I got the tofu as I do like a spice kick. It was very middling. Firstly, if it weren't for the spicy chilli oil on the table, the broth would have little spice to speak of. I also thought the addition of mince was unnecessary, ramen is best when the toppings are simple, but the flavours are really impactful. This was the opposite, too many elements and all done to an okay standard. It was tasty enough and I ate it all, but if you're a big ramen fan, this may leave you a tad underwhelmed.
Read moreThe staff were super friendly and our food was served quickly, so this was a good experience. For that reason alone, I would likely go again. But after visiting Matsudai (if you know you know), my ramen expectations are a bit too high.
Pros: Fast service, Friendly staff , Decent selection of vegan mains and sides
Cons: Average, busy bowls of ramen

Terrible Vegan Ramen - Edit
Decent starters (veg gyoza and cauliflower wings) but the main was terrible. Myself and my friend both had the vegan ramen. The broth had no flavour and the soy mince tasted so strange, just wrong. Massive nest of noodles all clumped together. We left 2 full bowls behind. I suspect the dish wasn't tasted by the chef as it was hard to believe how bad it tasted!

Delicious ramen - Edit
Initially i thought the ramen broth was bland but all the flavour had sunk to the bottom of the bowl. After a food stir i found the broth to be one of the richest broths id ever tried. I ordered the curried pumpkin ans spices corn ramen and edamame. Would go back if round this neck of the woods again craving ramen.
