Taiwanese supermarket has a whole section for vegan products, such as agar agar, sauces, spices, tofu, frozen faux meats like bacon, etc. and more. As of Nov 2020, this is the only place in CR where you can find vegan food for dogs and cats. Please update the map marker for HappyCow if needed. Open Mon-Fri 9:00am-5:30pm, Sat 8:00am-5:30pm, Sun 9:00am-5:30pm. Call to confirm before going.

By far one of the best stores available in San Jose to buy vegan products. The owners are friendly and will help with anything you need. The prices are great!

Friendly Owners and Great Variety - Edit
I loved visiting this place, unlike other asian stores it focuses only on food, the owners are there to answer and questions and help you find products. I was impressed with the amount of vegan frozen foods. We bough “sausages”, soy meat balls, “fish”, fresh tofu, seaweed along with my other products. It is not necessarily cheap, but they offer different brands with different price options for the same product. Can’t wait to go back and shop again.
