Surprising

I had pretty low expectations and was very surprised. The food is very flavorful. I had a black bean burger on a pretzel bun and it was very tasty.

Pros: Kids menu, Easy parking

Cons: 2-3 vegan options on the whole menu

I once looked at the menu and did not see the vegan stuff. Maybe it was me.

A real gem

We had breakfast here yesterday, and what a great little place. While their signature pie is loaded with cheese, they have a number of vegan options and the atmosphere is quite charming. Service was great as well.

Pros: Lots of vegan options, Great service early in the morning

Great but long wait

Had lunch here yesterday (60 min wait for food) and waiting for breakfast today (45 min). The tomato pie is vegetarian, lots of vegan options upon request (including for coffee drinks and “milk”shakes). Carrot fries, fresh peach and raspberry Brie grilled cheese excellent. Took away one star for wait time, otherwise a stellar little place.

Pros: Tasty!, Creative menu

Cons: LONG wait for food…

5 star on the vegan options!

They have amazing different drinks (most all available in a vegan variety.) I am not a huge fan of overnight oats/chia seed pudding(wish I was bc it's so convenient) but this place rocks out a berry chia seed pudding like nothing i've ever imagined! Sooo tasty! Just wish they had more bakery items that were vegan. Stopped by on Father's day 2021 and they only had 1 bakery item that was vegan. Fortunately we live locally now so we plan on coming back and trying all the vegan hot meals as well!

Pros: Location, Drink Options, Atmosphere

Cons: Sweet Varieties

Vegan chia pudding for the win !

I loved this place ! We ate outside ( beginning of November beautiful day ) we had an awesome waiter too ! I loved the tea selection and awesome vegan options. Everyone I was with loved their meals and coffees. I had the vegan chia seed pudding and it was amazing the best I’ve ever had ! Next time I visit PA I’m definitely hitting this place up again.

Pros: Great vegan options

LONG WAIT

My party really enjoyed the veggie patty burger, beyond meat burger, and the hummus veggie wrap. The carrot fries were disappointing, as was the portion of them for an additional $3 per serving. Disliked that they gave us bottled water and did not have a cup option. We waited 45 minutes for a table and another hour for our food. We were rarely checked up on. Was really excited to try this location, but do not think we will be coming back.

Pros: Vegan options

Cons: Super long wait

Wonderful!

My father and I went to breakfast at Tomato Pie Cafe and were impressed with the options available. There are a decent amount of vegan options and plenty of veggie options. The Chia pudding was delicious. The fennel sausage was delicious. And the chocolate Carmel cupcake was FANTASTIC. Loved this place. Very friendly environment and not too bad expense wise.

Good food here

I ate here for lunch and enjoyed the food. There are several items for vegetarians... But only a couple of things for vegans. Quiche, sandwiches and salads were on the menu. A handful of tables are outside for when the weather is nice. Great location near Wilbur Chocolates. Good value for the money as most things are less than $10.

Pros: Flavor, Va!ue

A really good dining option in the heart of Lititz

Quaint cafe in the heart of a rustic town.

I pass through this town once or twice a year and I must stop here to eat. As a single person, sitting at the coffee bar is the option because otherwise, waits to get tables for groups can be a half-hour.

Today, all I had to do was hear the three specials. Two were vegetarian and one was vegan. I also saw a Vegan Pumpkin Cheesecake in the dessert case. Did not have to look at the regular menu to decide the Spinach Artichoke Pie and Chili was the way I wanted to go (after I heard the chili was vegan - they did not mention it until I told them I assumed it wasn't). These were technically two entrees so they came with a side and a scone. I ate these in house and took a Tomato Pie entree to go. With a Basil & Mint (yogurt) smoothie, this vegetarian was happy.

Perusing the menu online to add this cafe to Happy Cow, I noticed much more for vegetarians and vegans alike. My server was knowledgeable about vegetarian and vegan options, although not always labeled for easy determination, and she knew the difference between the two.

I don't think you can go wrong by giving this place a try if you get the chance to. Just be cognizant, as we all usually must be, and ask if you have questions about ingredients. Wherever I go, I make sure the server knows I am vegetarian and that they know that means that chicken and fish are not vegetables despite what they may have heard.

I am going to message this cafe as soon as I finish this review to urge them to label veg*n options because it would serve them and their customers better. If you visit here, maybe you will decide to inform them, too?

Since 4 of 5 stars is the highest permissible rating, I went with 3 because I believe they could do better to communicate/label the veg options.

Pros: Atmosphere inside and outside, Options available at prices not bad for the area, Tasty

Cons: So popular, wait time may be long to be seated, Veg*n selections are not all disclosed/labeled, Small/tight space - not a lot of elbow room

My next visit was 10 days later. I enjoyed the Cilantro Lime Bowl... 6.95
Rice, quinoa and farro tossed in a cilantro lime dressing. Topped with sauteed spinach, onion, tomato and mushrooms. Finished with an avocado cream sauce . Another vegan pumpkin cheesecake for dessert. No veg chili available this time. I've emailed management to support labeling vegetarian selections on the menu.
