Comfort food - Edit
It is such a satisfying and heaty meal, one of the best kinds of comfort food. The thunder tea itself is fragrant, definitely one of the best in town!

Super yummy food. Kind staff - Edit
Super delicious thunder tea rice and tong tap fu. Long queue during lunch weekday. Didn’t realize they only accept cash until I reach counter but staff is very kind to let me have my lunch first and pay back after that when I find atm. Even mentioned to please eat first.👍🏻

amazing thunder tea kolo mee - Edit
first time having thunder tea kolo mee and i LOVED it 😋 i ate the noodles on their own (without the tea) and they were super flavourful.

Their last day 31-5-2022 - Edit
Sad that they have decided to permanently cease their operation soon, ordered their today special Dang Gui noodles, quite decent too, but kolo mee still the best.
Read moreTried their Thunder Tea Kolo Mee previously at their other outlet, the kolo mee was really good, full of sesame oil fragrance, the sweet potato leaves and other ingredients are well cooked too, but their Tea tastes normal only, for the Tea (the soul of Thunder Tea), imho Living Wholesome serves the best Tea.
Tried one each of their side dishes too, all were good especially the Hakka and bitter gourd Yong Tau Foo, like the herbal broth and Yong Tau Foo paste very much, their chilli was spicy enough and shiok, do come here and enjoy before 31-5-2022 (their last day of operation)

leicha kolo mee v nice!! - Edit
i personally rate this among my top 3 leicha spots in singapore!! i usually eat leicha with rice, but tried kolo mee ($5.80) for the first time today. the noodles were nicely flavoured with some kinda oil, and goes well with the veg which were sweet and crunchy. the hakka tofu ($1.50) which i added on had a mushroomy stuffing and was also nicely flavoured! i personally find the soup too herbal, prefer it with peanuts mixed into it to give it a nutty, almost pesto-ish taste!

The best Thunder Tea Rice EVER! AND More! - Edit
My hubby and I came here for lunch and oh my goodness, we were blown away by the amazing dishes served here!! The thunder tea rice was impeccable with each ingredient meticulously cut and cooked to perfection. The cha soup was packed full of flavour and was thick, not watered down. Then we ordered the secret recipe braised tofu which accidentally came out as a meal and we were SO GLAD it came out as a meal, because the rice was braised in that delicious braised brown sauce and the tofu was melt in your mouth wonderful. This braised tofu meal was so good, I'd say it's tied in first place with being the best meal there (along with the Thunder Tea Rice)! We also ordered the mushroom mee, which was good, but compared to the braised tofu and TTR, it was second or third in place. Hahaha, and the freshly made and fried wontons are fantastic. Super light and crispy, and not overly oily. In fact, all of the meals were less oily than most veg Chinese dishes. Ten thumbs up!!

a nice store specialising in thunder tea that uses mainly locally sourced organic ingredients! the staff are friendly and the portion is large! given the food’s quality, the price point is definitely worth it. you’ll leave feeling satisfied and healthy.

1. mushroom kolomee $4.80
the fav in my family! springy noodles tossed in special sauce and a good portion of various ingredients! sooo good i can’t put it in words. would definitely recommend!
2. lei cha rice $6.80
a refreshing dish, rice with the typical ingredients you’d expect with a bowl of the lei cha soup! the menthol flavour is not overpowering and is rather pleasant!
3. lei cha kolomee $4.80
a good option if you’re looking for the best of both worlds of the lei cha rice and mushroom kolomee. has the lei cha rice ingredients but served with noodles in the special sauce. yummy!
4. king oyster mushroom kolo mee $4.80
just like the mushroom kolo mee, just w king oyster mushroom instead! i would prefer the regular mushroom version as there’s slightly more mushroom 😬
also saw a new dishes added to the “today’s special board”!

Healthy and Delicious - Edit
Every ingredient is organic (except noodles I think?) and fresh and well prepared. Tastes like a good hearty delicious meal but at the same time healthy. Would recommend getting the signature leicha rice, as its the most worth it (filled with veg) and imo best tasting. Awesome service too!!

Healthy and fresh hawker food! - Edit
This felt like the healthiest thing I ate in my week in Singapore. Not oily like most of the hawker foods. The food tasted really fresh with herbs, greens, tofu and a sprinkling of peanuts and beans. Quite a balanced meal. The tea broth for pouring on the rice was also delicious!

Delicious Dinner - Edit
I was there when they were about to close. They offered me a mix of what they had left, it was a rice bowl with tofu, mushrooms, and salad; and the green soup from herbs and sesame. It tasted delicious and light. Will definitely come back, looking forward to going there when they have their full variety of dishes.

Thunder tea rice - Edit
Never fail to patronise this stall when I’m near Chinatown. Personally, one of the best vegan thunder tea rice I’ve tasted, and I always leave feeling nourished after a hearty bowl of greens (and carbs). By using organic ingredients, probably gave this dish a boost as well.

Hakka Lei Cha! Oishi! - Edit
Simply love Hakka Lei Cha! Oishi! One bowl is never enough, I would ordered 2 bowls. No one serves the Hakka Lei Cha Rice Set quite like Thunder Tree, the speciality is in the rice itself, a different texture, fragrance and flavorful.
Read moreThe Lei Cha Noodle is another item which I think the health-conscious diner would love. As a chilli lover, I think this noodle dish would go best with red/green padi with soy sauce! But they have their special green chilli paste, something like the Thai green chilli paste.
The Yam Porridge is a light yet comforting meal - simple and tasty.
