largest selection *ever*! rare gems on sale!

soo impressed with the large selection! was greeted by the friendly man tending the stall. prices are reasonable :-)

i ordered a curry puff ($1.50), a little larger than the typical old chang kee curry puff! buttery, slightly flaky, thick pastry layer, and generous amount of mildly spiced potato curry filling. so satisfying. perhaps one of the best puffs i’ve had 🥺

also sells traditional treats like fried cempedak which is hard to find nowadays :-)

was told by the man all snacks are vegan!

do bring your own container to save on the plastic bags!

Pros: huge range, reasonable price, tasty, friendly staff

Cons: plastic bags

Yummy - Yam Cake and Carrot Cake

Great to find more eco-friendly food stall. The yam cake, carrot cake and kueh which I bought as take-away are yummy. Pricing reasonable.

good selection

Spotted this while having breakfast at another stall. Sometime I miss places as I focus on restaurants rather than shops. lovely wee guy who was really please to see us.
Stuffed so got the wee one a banana fritter at sgd 1 which unsurprisingly she enjoyed.
A jojntbgrasp of languages made it hard to decipher vegan non vegan.

Pros: staff, choice

Fried snacks and chinese kueh

This stall sells the regular fried snacks like goreng pisang, you tiao, fried spring roll, curry puff, etc. Also sells traditional vegetarian chinese kuehs like carrot cake, yam cake, soon kueh, etc.

Tried the curry puff ($1.40) and it was served hot, wasn't too oily but the potato curry fillings were so so.
