Popular for a reason! - Edit
It is no wonder this is such a popular choice (I stopped counting how many people picked up orders, ordered to-go, etc. while I was here)! The taste is soooo good, options are plentiful, and there is plenty of it!

Best Vegan Italian Food Around - Edit
All I can say is wow! Their vegan meatball sandwich is the best I’ve ever had! The bread was amazing and the portion size was very generous. I also got garlic knots and a sausage pesto sandwich. Everything was so delicious and I can’t wait to go back again!

A Bit Of A Hassle! - Edit
The food was delicious, but since we had never been there before (we had an appointment nearby and don’t even live in CT) we wanted to go in and couldn’t - we had to order online from the parking lot!! Again, the food was really good, but the scalloped potatoes were cold even though we ordered them from the hot menu and it tasted like tomatoes - it was like lasagna with potatoes instead of noodles… weird… our sandwich didn’t taste at all like tuna, but was yummy and looked exactly like the website photo!!!

Let’s be honest here. You had to order online from the parking lot because of COVID! That’s not the case anymore now that most restrictions have been lifted.

Lives up to the hype! - Edit
We have been wanting to come here for so long since we first saw this spot in VegNews and subsequently on Instagram. We made a stop along the way home from a road trip and let me tell you, it was hella worth it! There are literally too many delicious things to pick. We settled with some lasagna and eggplant parm frozen to go, peach and prosciutto apizza, pesto eggplant rolls and a belissmo sandwich. Everything is of the best vegan food I’ve ever had! They all will ship anywhere in the USA I believe. I’d drive multiple hours to pick up stuff from here! Didn’t even get to try their famed cheeses yet! What a wonderland and by the parking lot seemed very popular! It is a tad expensive but it’s worth it!

THE vegan staple in CT - Edit
I'm so grateful to live in CT that has an amazing establishment like Three Girls. Seriously, if you're visiting or near CT, you have to try them (and their downtown location that has milkshakes and soft-serve).
Read moreMy personal favorite is the crispy buffalo chicken sandwich. Also a huge fan of their crabcake, lasagna, and eggplant parm. Their buffalo cauliflower and clam strips are great as well. Honestly though, you can't go wrong with anything you get from here. Their fried chicken bucket is probably my least favorite offering of theirs, but I have friends that rave about it.
Their cannolis are yummy, but tiny. Their desserts are pretty pricy overall.
Highly, highly recommend.
Pros: Big portions, Good value, Fresh food

CT vegan Mecca 🤷🏻♀️ - Edit
We loved to Ct 3 years ago and have been drooling over TGC Instagram posts for that long 😂 we finally made it and it did not disappoint. Ordering online right now kind of sucks because we got stuck in traffic and even with the time buffet we gave ourselves we still missed our food at its peak. With fried food especially pricier meals it is better hot but oh well. We got 2 turkey clubs for our 8&10 year olds and really they could have shared one. The portions were huge and came with a big side of potato chips. We got garlic knots, calamari, onion rings, buffalo chicken sandwich and a peach and prosciutto apizza. Literally everything was just as delicious as I had imagined it would be 🤤 we also got a stick of pepperoni and a box of 3 small cheese wheels but haven’t eaten them yet but they look amazing too.

Favorite! I drive from an hour away 2-3 times a month to get my Three Girls fix! - Edit
Literally my favorite vegan place I’ve ever been to. Best in CT for sure. Serving sizes are amazing for the price and it’s organic! I always cook big dinners for my family and when I need a night off I NEED Three Girls.
Read moreIn the pandemic madness, they make it super easy to order, pay, and pick up! Order online at least 30 minutes ahead of time, grab your bag and go eat! Some times orders are late, but honestly it’s so delicious I would wait all night to have just a taste of that sweet savory goodness!
I think I’m a sucker for them, because I love Italian/American food! Everything is so good. I can split an eggplant parm order into 2 meals. It’s my favorite, along with the faux tuna sandwich on a pretzel bun.
Best items in my opinion: eggplant chix parm sandwich, buffalo chix sandwich, the ruben sandwich, the buffalo grilled cheese, eggplant pesto rolls, crab cake sandwich on pretzel bun, eggplant rollatini, the tuna sandwich (sunflower seed base - not chickpeas), the tiramisu, and the chocolate donuts. I love more, but those are my repeats.
I drive from Litchfield County (an hour away) and I am always smiling to and from their location. Feels like vegan disney world.
The downtown location is awesome too. I wish they stayed open later because it’s hard to plan a trip to get there by the time they close. I love the chocolate chip cookies and the chocolate soft ice cream w/ cherry dip. Makes me feel like a kid again! ❤️❤️❤️

Excellent food, very slow service - Edit
First, food was in short, AMAZING. Went to both the bakery on Water Street and the take away on Boston Post Rd. Purchased baked goods on Water St, not necessarily healthy, but vegan and delicious. Decent assortment of goods on a Sunday but the wait was quite long even for standard menu items. COVID and very small retail space restrictions allowed only one party in at a tome, so line and wait time outside was long. NEXT- Take away restaurant on BPR, online order only, wait time was estimated at 20 minutes. More than 45 minutes later, the two sandwiches appeared outside the door. Woman who expedited our order apologized and explained profusely for the delay, but apparently from previous reviews, this has been a problem since 2019. Again, food was fantastic, I had crispy eggplant with broccolis rabe on ciabatta (absolutely to die for) but service needs serious attention. I’ll be back, but will order hours in advance to hopefully avoid the wait.

You gotta eat it to believe it!! - Edit
Amazing plant-based food. If you friends think vegan food is boring, order from Three Girls Vegan. I thought I’d never eat a Rueben again as a vegan and I was wrong!! The seeded Rye bread was perfectly toasted and it came with a garlic pickle. My husband got a Buffalo ‘Chicken’ sandwich on a pretzel roll....whoa!!! The sausage pepper and pesto stuffed bread is amazing!!! Worth the trip Ir they ship!

Worth the hype! - Edit
What can I say that hasn't already be said? The food is just sooo good. Lots of options on the menu too. We had the 'crab' burger, mac n cheese balls, magic bar, and 3 cheese wheels. The non-vegans were very impressed and satisfied. We drove an hour to get there to pick up the food. It was definitely worth it!

Best Italian food ever - Edit
My family drove here from Vermont just for the food. We ordered the bbq pizza, claim pizza, breakfast sandwich, clam strips, chipotle cheddar burger, crispy eggplant sandwich, and cannoli’s. By far the best vegan mozzarella, sausage, and fish I’ve ever had. Couldn’t recommend this place more.

Absolutely Amazing! - Edit
I can not say enough good things about these women and what they are doing with vegan food! The calzones, burgers, Apizzas, breakfast sandwiches, the mac and cheese balls and fried chicken, the seafood platter to their donuts and canolis are absolutely amazing, flavorful and filling! We have not been disappointed! My Husband & kids love the calzones and pizzas! Order and pay online then they put your order on a table outside with your name on it due to covid so they are taking precautions.

Oh. My. Word. - Edit
And the word is DELICIOUS!! I tried this place a couple times now—I got curbside pickup as we’re still in COVID19 days. My order was in a brown paper bag with my name on it on a table outside the shop when I arrived. I tried a number of their sandwiches and was BLOWN AWAY!! The tuna salad on a pretzel bun is wonderful, the buffalo chicken sandwich will knock you on the floor, and the Tiramisu is like something from another magnificent vegany world. They make a panini called the Bellisimo that has pesto and “fresh mozzarella” and is really a taste explosion. The crab cake sandwich and onion rings are also ridiculously good. Oh, and did I mention fried chicken and buffalo Mac & Cheese balls?! Stunning. Go here, now!!

Good for new and lazy vegans - Edit
I've been here a few times and can't believe how expensive it is. If you love to cook, you're better off making what they make at home. There isn't anything really healthy. Almost everything is fried. I bought some of their cheese and hated it. I do love their mac and cheese balls, clam strips, and pizzas, but only get it when I have time, money, and am too lazy too cook. They don't have much seating anyway.

Great selection of vegan meals - Edit
I had a buffalo chicken sandwich, and my friends had the eggplant mozzarella sandwich and a chicken pizza. All delicious. My sandwich was extremely dense and, aside from being a bit less chewy than its animal counterpart, was otherwise fairly indistinguishable. Slightly pricey, but overall a good place I’d return to if in the area. Also doing a great job with remote ordering during COVID (note: you have to place the order online in advance; you can’t go inside the restaurant).

Amazing vegan seafood - Edit
Happened to find this gem on the way home from vacation and I’m so glad I did! Vegan pop tart was out of this world. Got the calamari platter and crab cake burger. Both really tasty and filling. Good side of sauces too. Menu has a wide variety of sandwiches, pizza and calzones. It was hard to choose. Perfect for when you’re hungry for something hefty. I might make the trip just to try their calzone!

We got the calzone and “chicken” sandwich... both were so good. Their ricotta in the calzone was so flavorful and the perfect texture. I cannot wait to go back and eat in person, it looked very nice there.
