THE FIRST vegan restaurant in Indy! - Edit
This location in City Market is always super busy, and the service is fast. Delicious food, made fresh to order right in front of you. DELICIOUS food that even omnivores rave about!
Read morePros: Yummy baked goods packaged for take away. , Love it when they have soup!

Tofu kitchen sink - Edit
So happy to have Happy Cow app to help me find delicious vegan eats wherever I travel to.
Read moreI had the Tofu Kitchen Sink. The thinly sliced and baked tofu was seasoned amazingly, the sourdough bread lightly toasted to crispy perfection with roasted peppers, greens, pickles and a yummy yummy vegan mayo like sauce. The cookie sandwich is supwr rich, but delicious. I think I will 1/2 or 1/4 it so I don't overdo the sugar rush. Quick, friendly service. Will definitely go back before end of my trip to try at least one other dish. I highly recommend!!!
Pros: All vegan options, Fresh food, Delicious
Cons: No cons for me

Yummy sandwiches and cookies! - Edit
If you work downtown, it's a great lunch stop. Saturday is less busy and breakfast food is served all day! The biscuits and gravy are very tasty. Don't forget to get a cookie sandwich to go, they are an amazing treat.

Great quick dining option - Edit
Yummy lunch in a fun location for people watching. The staff told me that everything was vegan, although the signage just said "vegetarian." Very convenient to downtown and touristy stuff. My sandwich was reasonably good (especially the bread!), And the kale side salad was excellent. Would go back!

Delicious and affordable! - Edit
We ordered ahead and the customer service was simply amazing! We had the buffalo seitan wrap and a seitanderloin sandwich. They were delicious and very filling portions. The Mac and cheese was worth the side upgrade! We will be back often.

Good food, terrible parking and hours - Edit
LOVE THE FOOD at Three Carrots, everything is delicious. Unfortunately, because of it’s location inside City Market, the hours are strange and parking in the city is AWFUL. 6/5 for food, 3/5 for accommodation

Awesome Food - Edit
Menu was varied and all plant based. Their specialty is Seitan, which I have not had very often. My wife had the Veggie Hummus Wrap with herb and garlic Seitan and I had the Ban Mi Seitan sandwich. Both were tasty and filling. Set in the City Market you order and then sit upstairs around the periphery. Reasonably priced. Would definitely go back and recommend.

I really had a great experience here on Saturday. I'm fairly new to the vegetarian way of living, so I'm still trying to find nice places that I can go eat at. Saturday was my first visit on a date with a long time vegetarian, and we really enjoyed the food. Everything was very flavorful and delicious we will definitely visit this place again.

Found this amazing vegan restaurant on Happy Cow. Venue is like a food truck inside an old tran station ( actually old city market) downtown Indianapolis. Quick walk from convention center. Seitan Gyro to die for!!! Breakfast until 11:00 - the biscuits and gravy with seitan bacon is delicious! A must vegan stop - you won't be disappointed!

I was so excited to get to 3 Carrots just as they were about to close.
Read moreThe vegan gyro (Trojan) was phenomenal! I don't normally eat seitan but this was excellent.
I may have indulged in some non healthy vegan cheesecake that knocked my socks off.
As a bonus this same city market has a place called The Tamale Place with vegan tamales.
Double bonus if you have people in your life still eating animal products this market can accommodate them as well. Great for business lunches so everyone has options.
Pros: Plant Based, Tasty

Excellent! - Edit
Three Carrots was our go-to place for delicious vegan food during GenCon 2017 (it's an easy walk from the convention center). We ate here for one lunch and two dinners and didn't get tired of it at all. The menu has lots of interesting options, and they had some nice specials during the convention too. Oh, and a discount with GenCon badge, which was nice. Everything we had was delicious! I wish we had been able to get there for breakfast too.

Having eaten at vegan restaurants for the last 20 years, I thought I have had it all and yet everything at this simple cafe is beyond expectations. Breakfast, lunch and dinner all in one spot. It's just a shame I only visit once a year for a week but every meal is from them.

Great Find - Edit
Just finished up a trade show on 7/25/2017 at the convention center and needed something to eat - found this amazing Market on Market Street with all these food establishments. Happy to see Three Carrots with a selection for vegan/vegetarians!!!!! Everything we ordered was well seasoned, delicious, and just enough. Check the hours as each vendor sets their own.
