Super nice - Edit
My food was so good. They do a nice service, I felt comforted and welcome. Also the location is cool. One point negativ is the price, it's a bit expensive (I paid 50$). Nevertheless I will go back when I find myself in Long beach again😉 The portions are big, for me they could do a little smaller and therefor 2 or 3$ cheaper...

Amazing comfort food for brunch - Edit
I love wild chive! Everytime I find myself in LA, I make the trek out to long beach to make sure I can fit in a brunch at wild chive.
Read moreMy go to is certainly their Vietnamese iced coffee (WHICH IS REALLY STRONG), their Yukon potatoes, and a delicious vegan monte cristo.
The prices are very much reasonable given the quality, portions, and location of the restaurant as well. Please go support them ASAP so they don't risk closing down!

Great food - Edit
Loved the food from wild chive. Tried their breakfast items and crepe. Both were very delicious. Also had their drip coffee.

Delicious - Edit
Nice vibe and flavorful. This is what I would have non-vegans try if I were going to try to convince them. We love the fried chicken Sammie and the BLAT. Both were delicious!

I Really Wanted This Like This Place - Edit
I have been wanting to try this vegan restaurant out for 8 months and I drover almost an hour to get here. I ordered the country scramble and it was overcooked on the biotin and had a harsh taste. Thank goodness for the ketchup to help mask it. But the service, that is even less desirable. I was approached by someone asking if I need anything else and I asked for more ketchup. He never brought it. And the server instead of coming and asking me if there was anything else I wanted just brought me the receipt and said do you want a box? So when she came back with the box, I told her you know I really wasn’t done but I think I’ll leave now. I give it two stars because I just don’t want the business to suffer completely with one star. But the service wasn’t good and the food., well I’ve had better vegan food, five minutes from my house. Won’t be coming back.

You can’t go wrong here. When it’s too hard to pick I go with the wild shroom burger. Don’t forget the pickle fries!

The best vegan spot in LBC - Edit
Everything is delicious plus everyone is queer! Win-win. Great vibes, good music, good drinks too! And you may spot an occasional celebrity dining in there. The BLT is one of the tastiest things ever! Highly recommend it. Love the fried pickles, potatoes, breakfast sandwich, burgers, beignets, chicken and waffles. I don’t think I’ve ever had something bad at Wild Chive to be honest.

My review will be simple: I am a vegan and love to eat, but I didn't enjoy this experience.
Read moreMost of all, I was disappointed in the service and the organization; making a reservation, booking a table, and getting placed and served was an ordeal.
The food takes a long time to be served, is very salty and heavy but still tasty.
The choice is limited, and there needs to be more fairness in the proportions between the dishes. After trying a few times, I guess you figure out which one is really worth your $19
The service could be more friendly too, and the food is very pricey for what it is.
Pros: the location , entirely vegan
Cons: Way too salty, the service is unfriendly and rushed, the limited choice in their menu

It lives up to the Hype - Edit
Honestly there's nothing really to say that hasn't be said. It's amazing and this is more for me to just make sure I reviewed this spot since I love to go all the time. Protip: ALWAYS GET THE HOT HABANERO SAUCE. It's actually spicy but taste so good and goes well with almost all the dishes. And yea if it's the weekend, make reservations online.

Bread Heaven - Edit
Previous postings, the food is great. Their bread is amazing. Server said that bread is made by an outlet bakery that only makes it for them.
Read moreThey recommend on-line reservations. We came on a Saturday afternoon, and they were able to accommodate the two of us. Parking in the area is a challenge, so we parked in the neighborhood and walked over.
Great vegan experience. Burgers come with side option. Huge portions and serve breakfast at lunch too! Also do a lot of takeout.
Only suggestion is would like if music was turned down one notch, as was it was loud.
Pros: Portion size, Flavor, Bread!!
Cons: Reservations may be necessary , Parking a challenge , Music too loud

I had the BLT sandwhich, and it was so packed with flavor. Quite filling! And so delicious. Love it!! It comes with a side, I chose the side salad - just some lettuce and dressing - nothing special but it was yummy too😄also got a side pancake and that was also amazing!

Come here for brunch… - Edit
If you’re looking for vegan brunch, look no further. I shared the “Chive ‘BLT’”, the “Southern Fried Chick’n Sammie” and “Pickle Fries” with a friend. Everything was just so good. The restaurant is quite nice with a cool vibe. I would definitely come back to try some other stuff off their menu.

The southern fried chick'n sammie was cooked well and the tangy southwest ranch it came with was really tasty. The smokey chipotle aioli dipping sauce that came with my tater tots was also great.

The Ideal Establishment - Edit
Now this is the kind of place I love to support. Small business owners that make you feel welcome as soon as you walk in. It's got a Gastropub vibe going on and a giant Ruth Bader Ginsburg mural on the wall. A couple blocks from the beach, so you could get it to go and go sit on a bench overlooking the coast. Food was great. Please keep this place in business by treating yourself to some delicious conscientiously prepared yumminess. Cheers!

Not your everyday munch pricing but not over the top expensive either, you’ll get that mid range but the food is top tier. I chose the chicken sandwich but envied my friend’s BLT. It’s LBC so be prepared to handle the parking situation.

Best Brunch/Comfort Food for Vegans - Edit
My Mom and I came here an hour before closing time so it wasn’t crowded as I heard it can be. We both got Vietnamese iced coffees and an order of pickle fries to share. We were already beyond impressed before our main meals even came out. I ordered the Monte Cristo with a side of breakfast potatoes and my Mom ordered the BLT with a side of tater tots. We split our sandwiches half and half so we could try both. The BLT here is the best BLT I have ever had, but the Monte Cristo absolutely blew me away. I never tried a Monte Cristo before coming here and I recommend everyone does try it. It has the perfect balance of sweet and savory to satisfy any craving. I also have to mention that I really appreciate the use of paper straws and the overall absence of all things plastic and disposable besides a few recycled paper napkins. The staff here were some of the most lovely and funny people and really were the icing on the cake for our experience at The Wild Chive.

Best food I have ever eaten - Edit
I got the Stuffed French Toast….you guys, I don’t say this lightly, but it was GENUINELY the best food I’ve ever had. I’m a major foodie, I travel specifically for food, and have done so for as long as I can remember…and this French toast was PHENOMENAL. This French toast has ruined me for all other breakfast foods. And I’m okay with that.
