Great nachos, bland burrito - Edit
Great vegan options! We really loved the vegan nachos - the queso sauce is delicious and there was a great amount of toppings.
Read moreThe Santa Fe salad was also really good - we didn't care for the "dressing" (I think it was just vegan mayo w a little chipotle) but liked the salad a lot without dressing. Had plenty of avocado and pickled onion to spare which was nice.
The vegan buffalo burrito was the only disappointment - there was no detectable buffalo sauce on it and we didn't taste any cilantro or lime in the rice, so overall it was very bland. We used the extra avocado and onion from the salad which improved it a lot, but next time if we order it we'll either leave out the rice or ask for extra buffalo sauce or something. The photo is of the filling of the burrito where you can see the lack of sauce.
But those nachos REALLY hit the spot, and were still pretty crunchy even after the maybe 20 minutes it took us to eat them after pickup.
Pros: Nachos, Santa Fe salad
Cons: Vegan buffalo Chicken burrito

Thankful for a vegan option - Edit
Come here every year for their vegan options. It’s not a fancy place you order through a QR code and they bring it out to you. Buffalo cauliflower burrito is great. Staff is always helpful and friendly. Nice GF burrito wrap option as well.

Get the nachos. - Edit
My group (mostly vegans) stopped here and got a variety of things. The nachos were the best, and seemed to be a much larger portion than the other things we got (quesadillas, buffalo cauli burrito, jerk jackfruit burrito).
Read moreThe quesadillas were mostly just daiya cheese with a bit of beans and corn in them. Wish it had more veg, or spices, or anything. Would recommend getting a side of salsa to dip them in...
The burritos were good, but not mind blowing. We wished they had more sauce as they were a bit plain...
All that being said, we were thrilled to have vegan options right next to the boardwalk, and the service was good.
Pros: Convenient

Yay for vegan nachos - Edit
We only tried the nachos. Plenty for two and outdoor seating available! Pretty yummy though they could chop the vegetables in bite size pcs, we had onion and green peppers bigger then the nacho chips. However pretty tasty.

Bad service and only a few options - Edit
I enjoyed my quesadilla but beyond that not worth a visit. Staff couldn’t keep up with orders. My food came out and 15 minutes later my partners and friends food still wasn’t made. Had to ask how long it would take and then they started making their orders.

Great vegan options - Edit
Lots of clearly marked vegan and vegetarian options. Off the boardwalk so it’s a nice departure from the busyness. We got the vegan Buffalo nachos with super tasty roasted cauliflower, jerk Jack fruit burrito, fried avocados, and kids vegan cheese quesadilla. They have the super think yummy chips! We were very happy with everything we order. A great find in a sea of fried foods and meat heavy restaurants.

BEST Vegan option in Wildwood - Edit
For being just about the only proper meal you can get as a vegan in Wildwood, this place still comes through as a delicious option despite there being little need to compete. Place is not fully vegan, but the majority of the options here are vegan. (Instead of having a "vegan options" part of the menu like many restaurants, this place has a small section of the menu for non-vegan options.) Management was very nice and was willing to work with us despite poor weather conditions and being understaffed at the time.
Read moreThe food tastes delicious, and don't forget to get some nachos! The vegan nacho cheese was so great that despite the enormous portion sizes, I was lucky my friends didn't devour them after their meals.
Pros: Great food, Great location just off the boardwalk, Large Portions
Cons: How my stomach fely afterwords, ate too much

Ok vegan options - Edit
Avocado fries with ranch dipping sauce - crispy on the outside. Never had avocado fries before, but they were ok. Bland without the ranch, but it's not like avocado has a powerful flavor to begin with. Would not eat again.
Read moreVegan quesadilla - cheesy. Not a lot of flavor in there besides that, but the ranch again helps. The ranch is delicious.
Vegan bahn mi burrito - seem to be missing the cucumbers, daikon and carrots. Rice didn't taste anything like cilantro or lime. Jackfruit also had no real flavor. Wouldn't get this again.
Vegan buffalo burrito - decent amount of chicken. Rice is the same as the bahn mi. Filling, but that's about it. Why are there black beans in this? They don't belong here. Would get this again without beans.
Overall nothing seems to be seasoned. Beans and rice were flavorless, but buffalo and ranch helped.
Got take out, everything was labeled vegan on the wrappers which is always helpful. Small parking lot, easy to jump out and grab the order. Friendly staff.

Solid Vegan Mexican fare - Edit
I had the vegan buffalo chicken burrito and the avocado fries, both were delicious. The burrito was thick and hefty. Slightly expensive but overall you get your money's worth, especially being in Wildwood. Overall young people vibe here, at least at night. Make sure you get water from the soda machine, otherwise you pay $1.75 for a bottle.

So. Much. Food. - Edit
2 vegan burritos ordered - one bahn mi, the other beans rice cheese. We are from CA and totally approve of the taste and size (HUGE). Only bummer was that the cheese was missing from the BRC but that’s ok. Also forgot the salsa with our chips. Also I think their vegan menu changes so make sure to check their website as they may not have items that people reviewed here. So - just make sure you’re educated on the menu and check your takeout bag before you leave!

It's all bland - Edit
Not sure what happened to The Wild Burrito since it changed locations, their food changed as well. I'd eaten here when it was fairly new and the vegan menu was extensive. There were some really delicious burritos & many varieties. Sadly, I read the recent reviews and decided to try them again anyway. There isn't much for vegans in Wildwood. I spent $80 on food for my family of 6. The food was bland. There was no impressive menu. The cilantro lime rice was bland and no good. The buffalo chicken wrap barely had any buffalo or "chicken"..mainly a strong blue cheese flavor & one chewy piece of gluten. The birthday bowl which is basically a burrito bowl knockoff from chipotle, was bland and it was advertised that it came with guac with the peppers and onions, but there was no guac. Neither person in my family could bring themselves to eat everything. The avocado fries used to be our favorite, this year they were falling apart and tasted off. The food was amazing years prior, it's just not worth it now.

Okay - Edit
Very quick service for to go service. Had a vegan quesadilla and it was okay but not the best. I added vegan chicken and it wasn’t that good. Cheese was also just okay. I personally wouldn’t get the quesadilla again.

Guac like an Egyptian - Edit
The menu made the food seem a lot more exciting than it was. We ordered the “guac like an Egyptian” to start thinking it would be something special, but it was just a basic guacamole. Two of us tried to order the “banh mi vegan burrito”, but we were informed that they had run out of the ingredients, which was incredibly disappointing. The “al pastor vegan burritos” were simply okay. Nothing special. They also made a pledge to be environmentally friendly on the back of their menu with one of their promises being that they wouldn’t give plastic utensils to dine-in customers, yet we were given plastic utensils anyway.

Good experience - Edit
Vegan quesadilla was great (very cheezy- which I was in the mood for). My husband enjoyed the cheezesteak burrito (meat was gardien) gave it a 4/5. Nachos were very cheeze heavy, got the ranch on the side, but liked everything.

Hit or Miss - Edit
I visited this restaurant last summer with my family and loved it. The chips and vegan queso were incredible. I got the vegan greensporter burrito, which has an avocado fry inside it. It was fantastic. I visited again today and tried the vegan buffalo chicken burrito and was very disappointed. The chicken substitute was absolutely disgusting. I physically could not eat it and had to pick it out of my burrito. I gave up halfway through because the rice was also very hard like it wasn’t fully cooked. Another issue was the fact that to go orders are placed on iPads rather than actually speaking to the staff. This didn’t seem like a problem initially. My mom got the beef grande nachos and asked for guacamole and no jalapeños. We returned home and discovered that she had no guacamole and that there were jalapeños which make the nachos too hot for her to eat. This was especially unfortunate because we waited for upwards of 15-20 minutes for them to make our order even though there were no other customers at the time. Everyone behind the counter just seemed to be standing around. It’s extremely frustrating that it took so long, that the staff didn’t seem to care, and that the food was also not correct or good. If we return, we intend to dine in to avoid incorrect orders and to not order meals with meat substitutes.

Yummy vegan options! - Edit
All their beans and rice are vegan and they have a meat free fryer! We had al pastor burrito bowls and tacos which were jack fruit with an awesome sauce including pineapple. Fried avocado was fun to try! Salsa was great and tomato-y. Super helpful and friendly staff gave tastes before ordering. Free parking lot and outdoor seating.

Well, it had a “Vegan Friendly” sign out front so I figured I would give it a try... ordering is through a kiosk that is not very user friendly (doesn’t let you really customize) I ended up spending over $35 for my son and I. I’m ok with that especially since it was all Vegan! Food was ok, I got a Vegan Cheesesteak Burrito in a bowl and it was a few strips of Seitan and some vegan cheese melted on top. (Microwaved I believe). Asked for some lettuce and sauce and was treated like I just asked for all the cash from the register... my son asked for two taco shells and was treated rudely by the staff as well... interacted a few more times to rude and unhelpful staff. The guy at the register should be fired. He has a horrible attitude. Rant over. Won’t be back. I would say it’s a roll of the dice... not impressed.

So we have been going here every year while we are in Wildwood for vacation for maybe 4 or 5 years now! The food is always awesome and this year so far we have had their food for two dinners and one breakfast in only six days (we are a bit obsessed 😋)!! The vegan and gluten-free options are delicious and so appreciated!!!

Overall: Good, and will definitely go again.
Read moreThey have free parking in the back. Not many spaces, but it's a real plus in this busy area of Wildwood.
Hip, fun atmosphere. Kid friendly. They had music turned way up, which fit the party atmosphere of this town.
Avocado fries: Awesome! Very tasty, and I love that you can get them with vegan ranch dip. The portion size was a bit small, but that is the usual with this dish.
Chips and vegan cheese: Excellent! The homemade chips are scrumptious, and the cheese was, I dare say, perfect.
Quesadilla: Pretty good. A bit odd that the cheese was almost like mozzarella, which is strange for a quesadilla. But overall it was fresh and healthy tasting.
Vegan buffalo burrito: Good. The seitan had a bit of a strange texture, but not bad. Wish they made this with tofu instead. I only ate a small portion of it at the restaurant, because it was big. It ended up tasting even better leftover the next day.
The black beans were very very good; they were prepared with some sort of spice mix that was strong, and we loved it. The rice was also very good too.
When we walked in, it was a bit confusing as to how you should go about ordering. I think the idea is to turn to your right upon entering and walk right up to the iPad where they will take your order. But it was slow when we arrived and no one was there, so they took part of our order while we were seated at the table, and part of it when I walked up to the stand. But the staff was laid-back, friendly, and accommodating, so it all felt very comfortable. The owner is personable and friendly.
Do get a vegan brownie too!! Yum!
