Surprisingly basic - Edit
I had high expectations because there was a separate vegan menu. There were two choices of main on the menu - sausage and mash or falafel burger. Since sausage and mash is something I cook at home for a quick weekday meal, I went for the secret third option - “pesto linguine with med veg”. This was on the main menu, but had been offered to me as a starter when I’d been given the vegan menu so I thought I’d go for that.
Read moreWhen it came, it was in a creamy (split) sauce with a few slices of cooked red onion and peppers. Something I could cook at home for a quick weekday meal.
I didn’t rate the choices for starter and dessert so just sat those out. Wouldn’t really recommend coming here if you’re vegan.

Small Portions - Edit
The vegan menu looked promising. Unfortunately, as previous reviewers have written, the portions were very small. We had the two mains, the organic courgettes and the falafel burger. We sent the falafel burger back as it was uncooked in the middle. The courgette dish was tasty but the puffed rice consisted of a sprinkling of a few grains on top. Having complained about the burger and the portion sizes we ended up both having the courgette dish but with extra chips (at no extra cost).

Lovely food, but vegan menu options small compared to the omnis portion sizes. - Edit
Very well thought out vegan options but small. Aubergine steak £12 for half a small aubergine topped with tomatoes and seeds. Needed some potatoes or something to make it a proper meal.

Separate vegan menu. Ingredients locally sourced. Had the vegan risotto which was delicious! Staff very friendly.
