Delicious nut roast fairly priced

I loved the meal but also appreciated that it was a lot cheaper than the meat. Christmas options/menu available as well

Pros: Delicious Nut Roast, Clear labelling, Lovely atmosphere

Would swerve - especially during reduced capacity

Okay, the experience will have been hampered by the pandemic - the vegan / veggie menu is not currently available because of reduced capacity. There was only a couple of vegan items on the menu. I took the superfood salad (or equivalent name) with added falafels, followed by the vegan crumble and vegan vanilla ice cream. The salad was so dry and the dessert was very difficult to eat (perhaps just for me - I expected more crumble but there was a small sprinkling of crumble on a splatter of very tart / sharp and runny berries). Expensive too. One of the waitresses was very nice, the other lacked excellent people skills. The pub itself is quite nice, but I wouldn’t go back.

Pros: Pretty pub

Cons: Limited options , Dry main course, Expensive

Separate Vegan Menu

Really nice pub. Well thought out vegan menu. The mushrooms are really meaty and dessert was really tasty. Would highly recommend.

Full vegan menu

Had a great family meal here, two vegans and two omnivores - everyone had a lovely meal, food and drink menus are varied with loads of options. They were also very considerate and helpful with advice for nut allergy where they provided us with a tablet with all the ingredients listed, for every menu item, to look for potential allergens. There was a separate vegan menu which was a very pleasant surprise for a pub in a small village. Good options, and we were very happy.

Drinks were all freshly made and also very good. Pub is beautiful, lovely garden and the staff are all incredibly friendly and helpful. Definitely would go back.

Pros: Separate vegan menu, Beautiful old pub with garden, Lovely, peaceful village

Has potential

The pub itself is beautiful inside. We had a starter of pea soup, which when served to me I realised after a few mouthfuls had ham in. Caramelised onion tart for main was small and not very exciting. Dessert was nice but I left hungry and really upset that I had been served meat. They waiting staff didn’t pay much attention to the fact we were vegan and I won’t be returning

Pros: separate vegan menu , not too expensive , Beautiful pub

Cons: Lack of care when serving , Boring food
