Extraordinary - Edit
If a non-veg place was deserving of 5 stars on Happy Cow, it'd be this one! Several very interesting and well-thought out vegan options with a focus on foraged and local ingredients. There's also a pay-it-forward scheme for a local community kitchen

Never disappointed at The Warren - Edit
I often find eating out a disappointment. Have been to The Warren several times. Lovely ambiance. Simple decor and a good ecological ethic. It is always well subscribed with a nice mix of clientele. Meals always freshly and carefully prepared, with tasty ingredients, and well-presented.
Read moreThe only reason I didn't give five stars is that it is not exclusively vegetarian (which I would prefer) but it offers a good choice for vegetarians and vegans.
So often, the vegan/vegetarian options, in so-called 'mainstream' hostelries, are boring, rather grudging and smack of tokenism. Even in a restaurant that boasts 'home-cooking', I often get the feeling that this refers to the meat/fish-based core of the menu and the veggie meals look like they're bought in. Never get that impression in The Warren.
Pros: great food, fresh ingredients carefullly prepared., Lovely unpretentious atmosphere, Welcoming and helpful staff
Cons: Wish it was exclusively vegeatarian, Absolutely nothing else

Can’t fault it. - Edit
Delicious food, excellent organic wine list, staff super friendly and more than happy to accommodate any request. Mix of plant based food, vegetarian and carnivore. Also they put on special nights, such as curry, games, burger - check their website for details.

Delicious food and drinks - Edit
We visited The Warren in September 2021 on a Wednesday evening for the pre-theatre menu (3 courses for £26) and were not disappointed. Two out of three starters and desserts were vegan and there were two vegan main course options. The tempeh with tomato salad was really tasty and the soup was lovely. We both had the moussaka for our main course and it was delicious - really rich flavours and a good sized portion. For dessert we tried the brownie and the pannacotta and really enjoyed both. An added bonus was that there were plenty of vegan friendly wines and beers. The service was good and we really liked the ambiance of the restaurant. Would honestly say that The Warren would give a lot of veggie/vegan places a run for their money. We will definitely visit again next time we're in the area.

Good food ethical restaurant - Edit
Really enjoyed the food at The Warren. Service by friendly staff, wine marked off vegan ( most of the drinks are) and fast service . I had the moussaka and delicious veg, my partner had the burger. I wild definitely recommend my meal - very tasty. We both had the panna cotta and honeycomb - yum . Great place in Carmarthen to eat and like the ethics !

Delicious food with excellent veggie/vegan choices - Edit
First visit to the Warren whilst staying locally. Fantastic menu. As a vegetarian, who doesn't eat dairy and gluten, it was a delight to have plenty of delicious options. The vegan grazing board was tasty. Added bonus of organic, vegan wine, which we enjoyed. Good value given the high quality of the food. Cosy atmosphere, felt covid-19 safe and friendly, welcoming staff. I would highly recommend and would definitely visit again.

Delicious vegan options - Edit
Really great food and lovely atmosphere. Two vegan starters and two vegan mains to choose from- had the roasted carrot burger and it was delicious. Tried both the vegan puddings- brûléed rice pudding with shortbread and pumpkin pie with coconut yoghurt, both were great! Also beers/ciders clearly marked vegan.

One viable option only, but tasty - Edit
Visited today for lunch, only vegan options on the menu was a soup and a carrot burger, which we got as it was way too hot for soup and it was honestly amazing. Really lovely attentive staff who couldn't do enough for us. Also did a cracking flat white with dairy free milk. Highly recommend if you're not bothered about having plenty to choose from and don't mind eating somewhere that is obviously very meat driven.

The Warren is a great community café and restaurant. They have lots of vegan options, are accommodating in terms of changing menu items, and have stupidly fast WiFi.

Fabulous food - Edit
My partner and I stopped here on the way to llanstefan and I'm so very glad that we did. Advertised as being organic and with ingredients which are locally sourced I already knew that we would enjoy our meal here but the food was even more fabulous than I was expecting. My partner had the dhal which came with a gf bread option, a spicy slaw and mint sauce all of which was very flavoursome. The only criticism would be the portion size which could have been a bit bigger and maybe with another piece of bread so to mop up the rest of the dhal. I had the arancini special which was one big ball of deliciousness (seriously the biggest arancini you will find!) Which came with salad and a beetroot dressing, it was very rich and you could tell made with quality ingredients. Also tried the homemade kombucha which had a ginger kick to it. They had a vegan cake option and a gf cake option but not vegan and gf so I can't comment on dessert but my partner had the chocolate brownie and looked very happy! All in all very delicious and a very nice atmosphere to enjoy the meal in.

Relaxed with vegan menu - Edit
Only ate vegan ake here with a cuppa, but they have a savoury menu which has quite a few vegetarian and vegan dishes on it. The venue seems relaxed and the group of 6 included two children/teens and we played a couple of the board games they had.
